Nigeria is battling a series of security with the most prominent being over a decade-long insurgency in the north-east. The north-west is grappling with banditry while kidnapping for ransom has spread its tentacles across the country. As the 2023 elections close in, promises are flying around and the federal government has made one very daunting one — to end insecurity by December 2022.
