Episode 10 - Climate Justice in Higher Arts Education - A Conversation with KLASSE KLIMA
from PODPAST Futures of Arts Education
In this episode, Gigi is joined by not one, but two guests, Johann and Lena, two members of Klasse Klima, a student-led educational collective established in the year 2019 at Berlin University of the Arts. Klasse Klima was created to find creative educational methods to address the urgency of the climate crisis. Klasse Kima engages in events and debates on the intersection of art, design and ecology, it therefore seems extremely fitting that their conversation with Gigi focuses on a 2022 time-space perspective of climate justice movements, including C02 accounting and the digital divide, as well as a broader discussion on peer and lifelong learning environments, including where climate change fits into educational structures.Note: This podcast was created by School of Commons at the FAST45 Footnotes Summer School, where we experimented with Live Action Role-Play as a method for Futures Thinking. The podcast explores possible futures of the arts, arts education and institutions of higher arts education. As the podcast is part of Live Action Role-Play and Futures Thinking, most of the content presented is speculative in nature.Opinion Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed in this podcast episode of those of the individual guest and do not reflect the opinions of Footnotes and School of Commons.Moderation: Amy Gowen in fictional character GigiGuests: Lena Schubert and Johann Otten (Klasse Klima)Audio Production: Ingwio d'Hespeel, Markus StürmSound Design: PRIOLEAU, XenoramaConception & Production: Lea Minow, and Amy Gowen with the support of the School of Commons teamCover Design: XenoramaLinks: FAST45 - Futures Art School Trends 2045FAST45 Learning PlatformKlasse KlimaSchool of Commons, Züricher Hochschule der Künste, Switzerland Hosted on Acast.
