Episode 10: Don't Marry A Poor Man with Christine K. Mutua

from Conversations With Kalekye

In this day and age, marriage is either something we run in to so fast especially as witnessed with young Christians OR are so afraid of because of the implication of the responsibility as witnessed with the Gen Zs. In this episode we had a conversation with the author of the book "Don't Marry A Poor Man' Christine Karanja Mutua, who is an educator, a wife and mother to young adults sheds light on how to identify a poor man, what to look out for and consider before saying "I DO". In her words, there are things about a person that don't change irrespective of culture, time and place. In fact take your time because time reveals truth and relationships generally develop over time. Poverty is not just financial but in mannerisms, wisdom, knowledge and it is important to take time to know your potential partner because at the end of the day "Marriage is a private affair with public implications."  This episode is a challenge to both women and men alike to make sure they don't take the step towards marriage lightly.
