Student host Audrey Norton sits down with Vanguard University Alumnus Daniel Avila ('18) who is the Communications and Engagement Director at The Garden Church in Huntington Beach, CA. As an intercultural and interpersonal communication major, one of his favorite classes was Gender Communication with Dr. Derrick Rosenior. Still to this day, he refers back to the lessons he learned in that course to his ability to communicate with sensitivity to the multiple audiences and culturally diverse relationships found within the church community. Listen as he shares his journey from being passionate about missionary work to marketing in the corporate world to fine tuning his skills as a social media marketer and communications engagement in his present role.
