Episode 10: Interview with Donald Watts

from Keep Bouncing Forward: Lessons from Sports, Business and Life

On this episode, Angie interviews Donald Watts former high school All American who played college basketball at the University of Washington. Donald co-founded Watts Basketball with his father Slick Watts (former NBA player) where they are committed to helping athletes achieve their highest potential on and off the court. As a player, Donald unexpectedly suffered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which is rarely discussed amongst athletes and deserves more attention. Although Donald looked physically healthy he couldn't perform at his highest level due to the chronic fatigue. This caused depression and additional stress which made the situation worse at times. With his focus on helping youth Donald explains the difference between gaining exposure versus being exposed if players aren't ready to compete at that level. This interview will make parents reconsider their summer plans and develop a strategy that's best for their young athlete. Donald can be reached at the information below.
