Episode 10: Love and Loss at Intersections By Lola Christ

Welcome to another episode of Story Time. Today, I have shared a nonfiction story by Lola Christ. Please note that this story has certain trigger warnings: suicide, death, abuse and sexual abuse.  Lola Christ is an 18-year-old dancer, writer, and Spoken Word poet. As a Queer, Bisexual, and Gender Non-Conforming artist, they are located in the Bay Area and were born and raised in Oakland, California. They use their writing to work through childhood trauma such as abuse, domestic violence, and the loss of loved ones, through the mediums of Creative Non-Fiction essays and poetry. They are a senior at Oakland School for the Arts and a leader within that community. They believe that writing is the most important and simultaneously effective way to start or help further a movement.
