In this video, I'm going to talk about lower back injury prevention for field hockey. Lower back injuries are one of the most common injuries in the sport and can take players out of the game for a long time. In this video, I'll explain why lower back injuries are so prevalent in field hockey and what you can do to prevent them. We'll look at three solutions: improving lumbo-sacral and hip range of motion, increasing trunk strength and capacity, and strengthening the posterior chain. I'll provide examples of exercises you can do to achieve these goals and recommend doing them at least twice a week.
