We don't sound that kind of there. What? The joys. Left the way outside.

We don't want to get them. Hello and welcome to the Star Wars Forum UK Podcast. I'm Stuart Scaly, your host for the show. This is episode 10, the Sith Smithsonian.

First up, joining me tonight is our loose collector. From Vintage to Modern, he loves them all. It's from up north where they have the white iPhone rather than the iPhone. It's Richard Hutchinson getting rich.

Hey guys. I've reached... I found some quite interesting this week, which I wonder whether you've noticed that. To know, if you put your location as new cards on Facebook, you get a like button after every word.

I guess I'll make you like some of these instances which I do get it. Next up is our Vintage Completist. He collects a lot. He's a typified, focused collector.

He lives in the hills of Wales. It's Grand Criddle. Good evening, sir. Roger Roger.

Also, Grandma, I was browsing. I'm not sure if you've seen it, but I found a new online dating website for Welshmen. I thought you might check that out. It's called YouTube.

Wow. Here we go. Finally, we have our Layer Loving Giant. He collects everything in the layout and a bit of everything else.

It's Peter Davis. Good evening, Pete. Schnaffel. Schnaffel.

Now, Pete, I do have a little egg right with you. Oh, well. I've been listening to the podcast back and you often have a pop at me being short in my store. No, not used to you, surely.

Well, I was thinking about this while I was working every day. Lord of the Rings, the hobbits were the heroes, the short people. Snow White, who saves Snow White, the dwarfs, short people. Turn to the Jedi, who takes down the Empire.

Ewoks, short people. Can you see a theme appearing? All films that are not Star Wars. Yes, I can.

I think if I return to Jedi, here's a Star Wars film. No, a Star Wars film. Yeah, right. Do I give you a public apology?

No. There's no dwarves in showgirls. You're probably wondering why there are only four of us instead of the usual five here tonight. Well, it's with great regret that Sven has moved on from the podcast.

All of us wishing him all the best and I just want to say huge thank you to him for helping us get this podcast off the ground. We hope they future he may occasionally be able to come on the podcast. As yet, we haven't decided whether we will continue as a four or whether we'll have a new fifth member. Before the next podcast, we will sit down and discuss this issue.

Now, I'm pretty sure Grandma mentioned this in the events section, but the Star Wars film UK podcast has been chosen for the podcast stage at Celebration and Anaheim. Both Pete and Grandma will be out there representing the podcast, so I want to give us an overview of how this has come about and what is going to entail. Yeah, I can. Well, we applied very late, which I was quite surprised we got chosen, but we had to put forward three of our best podcasts that we've done so far.

So, as soon as our podcast is so long, I did fair a little bit that people look still might sort of like, oh my goodness, who are these guys? They're like, come on, they're podcasts 15 hours long each episode, but we got chosen. So they obviously thought we were decent enough. We get a pretty good following and we're very clean and well behaved.

So we obviously fit into the requirements. So, well, hopefully the show will be an hour on stage and a small room somewhere at Celebration. And we've got to put on a show for people. So, our grant, I think you are going to do us a show on you.

We would be like just a clothing every 10 minutes. We haven't actually discussed much about it yet. People, what we do have is we're in talks at the moment. We're going to plan something really special because this is an incredible opportunity.

We're already in talks with a couple of groups and organisations and we're going to try and pull us up to an extremely special. So, much more to tell next month, but really excited and one honour as well to get an email from Lucasfilm. Exactly. It is, I think it kind of not legitimises, but you know what I mean?

Some word along those lines. Our podcast is actually a real accepted show that we've got on. It's a real pattern of the back of all the hard work we've all put in over the last 12 months. It's almost a year by the time we get there.

It has been a lot of work. I hope we get an audience. I have that fear of that one turning up. We've got a plan B for that because we're going to try and buy our audience with all of our competition prizes.

It's going to be phenomenal. I can't wait. We're going to pull out all the stops. This is going to be awesome.

It is going to be scary, very exciting at the same time. Wonderful. I'll show you a bit more details on the next podcast as you get things sorted out. Next month's podcast will probably be the last one we get to announce on the next podcast.

Tune in for that one and hopefully we'll announce what it's going to make. Moving on, let's go round then. What have we been buying since the last podcast? I managed to pick up a Can I with Senator Jedi 65C emperor off a tie-fight pilot?

You wouldn't believe how hard he's out to get. It was only my second opportunity to get one in two years. Even though people think that recidivage and cards are common, when you start getting down to all the variations in the card backs, some of them are really tricky to get. I was happy to get that one.

I also just managed to get a lily-lady 30-back negative tie-fight pilot card back, which a lot of tie-fight stuff got on the most. Fantastic. Nice. I am saving for Anaheim because I want to take a bit of cash out there and try and hoover up some bits and pieces of my collections across the collection board.

I did get to that, which is really exciting. The fourth part of my Lia card collection, which was the Power Force Lia Pancho Cardback. It was really nice and minty apart, which is a very small hole in the bottom left-hand corner of the public south. That was some Benny 100 on the forum.

It was a really nice prize as well. I've got four out of five lia's now, so I'm very excited to get to Lia off to go. I hope that is something I will look out for in Anaheim. That's about it, really.

All the rest of my cash is going to America. And Richard. Not a great deal for me for this month. I've only got two 8-1s, I'm a call.

One's a C3P or Cabicase. The other one is a loose add-out drive-out with the orange emblems to go with the red emblems. That's it for me. Well, that used to.

Well, not a lot to be honest with you, mate, because I am taking a three-month break from collecting. What? Yeah, yeah, just talking about fun as well. Although I have bought a few loose, I bought a landed-jowel playset because I needed the escape pod to make up a nice one.

I've had bought a Polish bootleg at that drive. I don't know why I just spent a bit different, a bit different, a bit random. I have ordered a couple of little thing with it today, but I'll kick them for next month until they've arrived. So you're not collecting?

No, I'm not buying stuff. Just buy the odd bit. But I've got my intention to buy. I'll probably trick myself to signing up for this month.

Yeah, that's probably the odd thing. That's it. You don't expect all of your money. It'll just make you buy things.

You know what he's like? He's evil with money. He'll spend your money for you. Well, I lost my money for you.

Well, I lost my money for you. I was just out selling. He came in. He's like, is this an idiot?

He's got an emboyant. Yeah, exactly. He's got mine controls. Well, she might control.

I don't know what it is. So you're selling chocolate cake to the fact-good, honestly. I think it created the 12-inch line with string pulls at the back, which when you pull them, activate a devoicing mechanism, like what we got on the Palatite action man and on the GI jaws back in the States. What phrases would the characters see?

Okay, so should you run my buttons? I don't know what I'm going to be. You want to come in first on that one? I did.

I did because this isn't this always intrigued me about Star Wars talking figures, because when they did that sort of rather common contact chip thing, and they had phrased in the film, I noticed they avoided lots of the lines. The main characters, like Han Solo, who had contact figures. They didn't really go in many lines, because if you look at those lines of the characters, a lot of them are very rude, or can be taken in a different way. For example, you can have Ben Kenobi saying, by South of Oye, two droids and no questions asked.

Sounds a bit dodgy these days. And also, Princess Leia saying that came in that thing, your brave and I thought, is also, can we take quite a quiet little way? And also Han Solo said things like, back door, eh? Good idea.

It's a little bit suspicious. I'm sorry if you tell it, I didn't see the witness and you're there. Is anybody else? I don't think Han Solo speaks like that.

He's not a cop, is he? Still? I came up with three. Not really just lines.

I would like Luke to have played the binary sunset music when he pulled his chord. It's like I was studying in front of my sunset age morning. And I've quite liked the R2 D2. Two of them somehow had a hologram of Leia and done Leia the message to Obi-Wan.

Oh yes, that would be great. That would not. And just Leia, something like, ooh, you're a big boy. Just went quite hard.

What's the love to do that? Brand, can you rescue this one? I must have misunderstood the question, though, because I've got the Princess Leia 12 inch figure scene. Bolivian Marching Powder.

I love you. Looks guy Walker. If you pull his book, he says, incest is the best. And finally, I've got R2D the scene.

He wouldn't talk to Dave Prosek that guy, because he'd punch you in the face. Which is a direct quote from Kenny Baker. He's also another R2D one. I thought I was four.

Check out the ass on Wonder Woman, which is what he said to me in Comic Con a few years ago. You wonder what my question you want at that event? No, I wasn't. I wasn't.

Which I was. It was a bit weird, really, because it was like, oh my god R2D is a pin of it. It's not a four minute like that. But yeah, we said about Dave Prosek that he's actually talking about what I shouldn't say, but let's call him I don't miss the Golden Rod.

You're not going to ask R2 to filthy minded to delete Malmog or film. That is true. No, no. It's like coming in Rich.

One of you come up with. Yeah, we're going. It's just virus. Let me just get comfortable.

Let me just get comfortable because it's also going to be a work of genius. Come on. Yeah, well, I've told her I'm going to pick the best out of the two and eleven. No, I hope it's can't wait.

The first one is just a simple one. 3PO. I think if you pull the code of 3PO, he's going to see way doomed. I think that's going to be a classic one for him.

Vira, now I thought about this one because quite often, I don't know when you were kids what you did with your action man, but you were not supposed to put them in the bath when they had these voice mechanisms, but I think everybody did in the end of breaking them straight away. So for Vira report, you were clumsy as you were stupid. And the last one I went with the Lhas like what most people have done. And I thought you guys want to see it.

That's the only thing you're pulling. There we are. She's probably the only one you're taking the bath. I was in shame.

Because we didn't have 3PO's and I thought that Harry Beast would be the end of me. That's a brilliant line. Come on, we're carded at this. Sorry guys.

Let you down there. And finally, before we move on to the LA section, Grant has got this question of the month. And you know concept, Grant? You know what?

Let's do what we could do here. There's a little sound effect for it. Yeah, a new idea for question of the month. Hopefully what we'll do every month is try and choose a really testing question that we probably don't know the answers to to see if anyone actually knows the answers out there.

And this one's question is what was the very first licensed Star Wars product to be released? So I'm not about casting crew items, I'm not about props or anything like that. Or cinema posters or lobby cards. I'm talking about what was the first Star Wars product to put on the shelf for sale.

Let us know. Was it Star Wars 4 and UKPodcast.com? Indeed. Probably.

Yeah, I'll probably that. It's got G9 on it. Okay then. Let's move on to this month's LA.

Right. So now over to the LA which is going to be a slightly different format as there is no bend. We've all gone through the LA section of thread and all picked one item each this time. So Rich, what have you picked out?

Well, actually I picked two items and both of them are mine. So get the jokes over with. Oh, geez. Wait, wait.

I'm just going to check the show and I'll have you picked your own info around that as well. Yeah, yes. Actually, yeah. Wow, what a surprise.

No, I'm boo. Now I've done this on purpose because some of the feedback that we've had has suggested that some of the items that we've been picking and focusing on is quite niche, you know, the coins and the proof cards and various other things. So I'm taking it back to base six and I'm focusing on the Star Wars carry cases and I'm pretty sure every child would have had one of these carry cases when they were younger. I didn't.

Yeah, well you would have been a battle by the end when these were released. I didn't. You don't count your Welsh. Right.

The first one was the drop data carry case, which was released in 1980. The original one came in a just a brown mailbox, but it's been released multiple times often with the cardboard sleeve that we're coming out to see on them. I wish we had a known for this one that the whole 31 figures, once base was observed for what guys? Anyone?

Weapons. Weapons, yeah. So they had a 31 space for figures, one space for weapons. It can include an in-surgical and how to store the figures, because obviously with the variations in height, some of the figures were too tall for the areas around the edges.

Now what I didn't know was that the sleeves had their own designations by card box to get a 31A sleeve and a 31B sleeve, etc. Is anybody aware of that? Nope. No.

And there were collectors out there who were looking for cases that had these different sleeves variations. Now as I said, they I think every kid on the planet had one of these carry cases. No, but there was one major fault with them. And she did you have one because the other guys didn't.

Yeah, I did. I had the fighter carry case and a normal particular one. Right. What was the major fault with the fighter carry case that I'm in now?

No handle. No handle on the back. Anybody? Anybody else?

It had three clips. Well, I don't know if that was his own fault. Actually, those three clips were pretty pathetic and they snapped quite easily. Well, the major fault I'm thinking of is as soon as you pick the thing up, you figure out the did not hold the figures in.

And if you're thinking about lying, you've got what you're saying, 16 on the other side, and then you've got to get the two halves together and most of the first bell out before you've got that fall and then have to carry around with these carry cases. Mine never fell open, Rich. I did the clips up. If you're on the other side, you know where it's open.

And you close it, the clip clips over and have a bit of a mistake, which keeps it shut, you see. So what you're probably not doing is keeping them down. I've got what else is coming open. I do not mean that.

I mean, battling around inside. You know what I mean? The figure out how to be falling out when you've got that inside. I wouldn't have let it bother me too much.

Yeah, I did with me. I didn't let them back around. And I think it was a design fault of the case. Granted, do you think the design fault?

Yeah. The figures to say in, you have to put two figures in. Because one figure was four straight out. You need to put two in and it'll actually fit two figures nicely.

Ah, so you could sort of 62 figures in one of them. So you say that the Vader one was released in 1980. Was it a 30 figures release then? Is this one Yoda came out?

Is it when it released it? Yeah. So that would have been the 32 figure. So it's all 31 up to that point and then once it was based on the weapons.

I do know if one person who actually pulled the weapon section out and put a little Yoda figure in there, which was quite, I saw that on one of the phones quite a while back. There were two major types of sleeves which people are looking for. There's one on called the bounty hunter case. And I've had three figures on the front, which was the IG, the boss in the bow and the bow.

And that's quite a tricky one to get. And the other one is I can't find the name for it. So perhaps we can come up with the name for it now. But it has Yoda, Vader and Luke best been on.

And that's a 41 B. What do you think we're good with that one? I was thinking of something along the lines of the holy, probably the most faithful force users ever. So it's a holy Trinity pack.

A holy Trinity pack. Yeah, I may be a bad idea. I don't know about you, but I only saw the Vader carry case. I never saw the other one, the three people, at all in any stores.

And from talking to other guys in the UK, that often seems to be the case where people have seen the Vader one, all the three people. Do you remember seeing both on Shella's at any point? I remember seeing the Bendoms vision. I remember seeing the Vendoms vision.

I remember seeing the Vendoms. I remember seeing the Vendoms vision. I can't remember any of these things when I was a kid. We thought it was store stuff.

We thought it was a box. But obviously there are beautiful things now. But at the time I remember thinking, I was sure my parents have agreed. I find you a storage unit for a nice clean tub would have been a much more efficient way of storing your styles.

And you get to easier. I can't even remember seeing them to be honest here. Very, very odd. Maybe the stores didn't happen.

How much will it be? Well, I didn't actually buy. My name is Emilio. I'm a kid.

I had to send off either proof of purchases or I had to collect tokens from a newspaper when I was younger. I certainly remember waiting for this coming through the post. So I didn't actually purge this one. Okay, so following on from that then, I also purchased a three-piece old carry case.

The three-piece old one is bigger. This was released, I think was released in 1983, and it held 40 figures. Now the three-piece old one is completely different from the Vader. It clips so much sturdier.

It has a bit of a scalding on the back where the Vader one is quite flat. But what I didn't listen about the three-piece old one is that there's a huge line of prototypes out there. There is a kind of halfway house between the Vader carry case and the three-piece old one. Does anyone know what I'm referring to?

No different colour. Yeah, there's a Vader which is actually gold, which you may have seen in various collections. Any idea why the gold Vader exists? It was a test to test the end for flaking.

It's not the flaking, it's not the freaky old one. That's exactly why. There were hundreds of those. And that's exactly why there were a test for the three-piece old finish.

So those aren't actually that expensive to buy and they're not too difficult to get a hold of. So the three-piece was released in 1983 and this one held 40 figures. It's bigger than the Vader carry case. It has an improvement on design in that the clips are much stronger and much dirtier clips.

And they sculpt itself as much nicer. It doesn't have the flat back of the Vader but actually has sculpting on the back. It also has, I'm going to refer to them as see-well markings, which it's much more than that. It's got the logo and various other things on.

Now there were lots of prototypes of the C3B old carry case out there. The differences in the prototype is obviously ordered with different testing stages. And there's an image on the SWCA which has nine or ten of them in a line in the look fantastic. The most striking one for me is the silver one.

I'm not exactly sure the reason for the silver C3B old. They wouldn't have been making silver one. So perhaps it was just a trial of the processes forced to get the colour right. Perhaps they're adding the gold out there.

It was a more expensive and costly process. I would absolutely no idea. But I do really like the droids one. The droids one was cancelled.

Any idea why the droids one was actually wiped out? No one was buying droids figures? Spot on. No one was buying the droids figures.

Obviously the line bombed. So what was the point in releasing a droids carry case? Grant if anything to say about the colours? Yeah.

I don't know if you guys noticed the other day and this is something I wanted to ask you, Rich. There was a purple Darth Vader case that went on eBay the other day. It had all the COOs on it and everything, but it went for £500. So are these reproduction ones or because I've never seen unusual bright coloured carry cases?

Yeah, there were quite a few of these out. They used the same models for the Bendoms and for the modern carry cases. And they didn't either say you all dates on them. And obviously they just used whatever plastic at the heart to work on the designs of them.

So the purple ones are sort of a red one as well. Possibly even a green one. They're certainly different colours. But they're not portal types but vintage carry cases.

And if you do come across one, I would certainly conduct one of the guys at the SWC age to verify what it is before you actually spend some big money on a carry case. That's a different colour even if they're there too much. So what do you think of the carry case as well guys? If you haven't got one, is there something that you want to pick up at any point?

I've got them both the 3BO and Vader. I love the 3BO. Okay, some of the vaguers as well. They're great.

Let's play that way. They do display nice inserts and say interesting on the 3P1 one in that. And the inserts where they show where the figures go, just like the V8 have on. Some of the inserts in the 3P1 are actually a pre production.

The figures are actually off the production items which is a nice set of supplies when you open it. Are you going to swap your lines, may you ice cream tubs for these? Probably not. What I do like is the inserts.

Those are things that intrigue me more than the actual carry case itself. So if I was to go down at any of that route or a sauson, I'd probably keep the insert rather than the actual case. They're just not something I'm very interested in. I do like them now.

I don't like the kit. They just interest me whatsoever. I've got the 3P1. The cardboard is a bit smashed in on it.

I need to upgrade it. I remember these being around loads when I was a kid. I don't seem to see them that much anymore. Maybe I'm just not looking for them.

But yeah, of course I'm going to pick them up. I love this stuff. Okay, wonderful. Right then.

So what have you been looking at? Well, so something a little bit different this time. I'm looking at the posters that were put up on page 100, not 100, 1,622 of the LA section from our friend Dan, son of Django or SOGs, he's now called. Now we actually paid around £30 to £50 for these posters in 2006.

One of them is a 1981 release of the Empire Strikes Back, which I've never seen in this country. So I don't know if this post was used in this country, but it was used in the States. And the other one is the teaser poster for the original release of Return of the Jedi. Sort of like the one where you just see the hands and the lightsaber so it's on page 1, 622.

I suggest everyone sort of goes and checks them out. Something important information about this is the posters measure this or portrait posters are not the landscape ones, but they measure 27 inches by 41 inches, which is important to know because the US one sheets released after 1985 are actually an inch shorter. So that's the way of telling them. They were framed by a company called snapframeswarehouse.co.uk.

So if you guys have got posters there and they did a great job on Dan's posters, it might be worth checking out. But Dan also led me onto another website called www.cinemamastopeces.com and on there they have hundreds of amazing Star Wars posters. You look at stuff on there that I've never actually seen before. The Empire Strikes Back 1981 issue posted that Dan has, that's on there for about $195 and there's a Return of a Jedi teaser one that he's got which is $500, no sorry $500 world.

But look at some of the other posters on there, what I thought was really nice, they had an original British quad Hilda Brandt art poster for the original Star Wars. So do you know the poster where it's sort of like blue glare invader and holding up the lightsaber and lays down by his legs? Yeah. Well it's the Hilda Brandt vision of that which is like, it's a bit darker.

It's like the first one that came out and that was on there for £12,000. Ouch. Yeah, it's not a condition was that it? Well because it's a British quad, I mean it was folded, you know, that's a fold mark.

Star Wars in Conce, you've seen that one in the white background and you've got 3PO and RTT and I think I think I hold in like a trombone or a trumpet or something. Yeah, yeah, for what I mean. £10,000 which is shocking and they had a US 7 sheet original movie teaser poster for Star Wars and it's the one that says a long time ago, Star Wars starts May 25, 20,000 pounds. So I can understand that one, go on to that place, do I call it the standard or two?

Yeah, it's quite surprising which ones were for money and which ones aren't. There was a Hungarian poster, I know we talked about Hungarian bootlegs, but some of these posters I've never even seen them before, but I thought they were absolutely phenomenal. And to see what Dan has done with having him framed made me realise I definitely need to buy an original Star Wars poster. So, you know, I just have to go and check it out, it's on page 1622 in the LA section and check out cinemamasterpieces.com, the Star Wars posters on there are phenomenal.

Go on to M, you see the Empire Strikes Back post, I was making 81 V-release. Was there a difference between the original 81 and the V-release? No, I mean the V-release was the original. So, yes, I know what, I'm on about the original 81 and then the V-release was the original here.

Oh, the size of his head? Yeah, that is true, isn't it? They copied the kind of figures there and actually made it so big. That's what I was going to do here.

That's what I was going to see. Is it because I wanted to do the large head-hand and small head-hand? I think you've set a board set of figures. I think that was because of Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Yeah, because I wanted to push out some forward more because of the realise he was actually becoming a brand. Yeah, yeah, that's a good point. I forgot about that, but yeah, you're right on that. But, you know, there's so many posters of Star Wars Empire and Jedi that I've never even seen before, especially the foreign ones are absolutely phenomenal, but, you know, when you're looking at 20,000 pounds for this post, the 12,000 pounds for that post, there's probably a good idea to get in framed.

Right then, let's go on Pete. What have you been looking at? Right, I've been looking at a very interesting catalog. I've always had a bit of a session catalog even though I don't collect them.

It's probably something I will do eventually because it's one of the things I used to love going to my local toy shop in Lettings, which hopefully will have an interview with the person who owns that shop. He used to get all the catalogs from various manufacturers and he's appearing in a shop and he'd show all the kids what was coming and all that sort of stuff. And of course, a lot of stuff never came, things like micro collection stuff, which we always dreamed of. But this was something which, out of the corner of my eye, it was bought by Walkie.

And if you want to find it, it is on page, I'll do a grant here, 1,625 of the LA thread. And it's a clip of an unoxed in-store catalog from 1982. And a few little things that caught my eye out of this, it's quite a large brochure actually, rather than the small little tiny ones, because it actually opens up quite a large, sort of, well, slightly larger format. But a few things that really intrigued me when I actually looked through it.

One was a set of return of jello figures. And I'm also speaking, it's pretty much prototypes and I guess mock-ups. You've got Luca, a very black cloak. You've got the Emperor's Royal Guard without his overcoat.

So he looks a bit naked. You've got a bit of opportunity in this, it's a reddish cloak. I think that came out on, in Celier Gervarance. And Scuette is also in his black cloak.

And the Skiff Guard, or Class II Skiff Guard also looks a bit discolite. That might be down to the printing of the brochure, I don't know, but I'm just in a larger picture of it. And it really is quite kind of an odd thing. So this came in my face too.

It was a good year plus before the actual film came out, but they also wanted to get something out there. The next sort of thing that intrigued me was there was a preview for Jabba the Hutt. And it's just that the actual translation intrigued me because I went through and translated this stuff because it is in Dutch. Now our friend of the show, Tim Vikovin, is actually going to pronounce this for me because if I do it in Dutchovin, I will sound like a complete arse.

So I had over Tim very briefly and he's just going to read what it actually says. New, Zolu Hube, the town of Niet in the open bar hat concom. So if that translates as, new, solar kubius that he can not come into the open. And it says Jabba the Hutt.

I was just intrigued by Earth. They use the word lugubrious, which is a word that is a genuine word, but it's not really used. Does anyone know what that word actually means? Rich of the teacher.

Doesn't it mean like, ooze of sneeze? Yeah, a little bit. It's a little bit like that. I mean, you could possibly, it's right about Grant really.

I could use, uses a sad and dismal. So when Grant's feeling sorry for that, because he's again a mis-dunertifi pilot, you could say his face looked even more lugubrious than usual. I just thought it was an interesting thing to actually talk about a figure that wasn't coming or what was coming. And then to actually translate it as that.

So it was a figure that was so sad and dismal. He's not actually going to come out and show himself. I would just say basically I've got ready yet and we don't want to spoil the film for you. Which is fair enough and kind of cute in some way.

It's another reason why CGI, Jabba in your walk, especially edition doesn't work. It's so hard. Absolutely. The third thing that was interesting about that is that it's the Chewbacca on the last page.

It's clearly, obviously a costume person who's actually interacting with the rest of the brochure. But he's got kind of like a milky mustache and a bit of grey going on. It is the most odd looking Chewbacca I've ever seen, but obviously accepted as a Chewbacca. The pictures of the actual figures though.

That's the same one they use on the Trinoga poster. Yeah, I found that a lot of images are used across the board. I mean it wasn't specific to this particular catalogue that was released in the Baljim Netherlands, Luxembourg regions as they call them all Balax. But it's just more of a composition of things like in the Metcie Jabba the Hutt's prototype images.

Especially the April Allguard without his cloak. I found out really odd. Because he does look like his teeth off of the character way. And also if you don't know a few of the figures that have been well, weapons.

Medin does have his comedy love stick. Luke doesn't appear to have it like Seywina, but he does look jedi just like Seywina. I can't see his girl in his own clear enough. I'm an exe-alager image of that really, but sir.

Yeah, are you guys playing posters and catlobs? I don't want to, but what I'm astounded about with this is that it's obviously between the Jedi. On the front cover you've got the ATST, you've got two of them. And throughout it you've got things like the speed of a, but the catlog is heavily advertising in Pagash Dikes Park.

Items. And I went through and I talked to them up in a key into a ratio of about 85% of the stuff in there. Is that a bad spot? Well, there was a reason for that, Rich.

I mean, it's 8-2. And obviously that's why I didn't show things like Jabba the Hutt. So then I don't think they would have been a lack of, well, I mean it would have ruined the film for kids who had all the stuff that's on the speech and it sounded like a Jabba the Hutt playset to go. So I can understand, you've only got a molly come of Empire Strikes.

Sorry, I've returned to that figure. So are you not me in or nine though? I'm going to say you want to pronounce it. And I'm at the right bar on the...

Okay, so going on with that point then, they've spouted with the ATST. They've spouted with the Speed of Aik. The Skywalker was released on Empire Strikes Back, mate. The Skywalker?

Yes, of course, yes, of course. I'm believable. Honestly, if that's Star Wars more. I know, I know, I know, you think you've watched Star Wars, Star Wars, we've done.

So we've got the Speed of Aik. So you're seeing that they've held back Jabba. What else have the held back then to keep you excitement? Ewoks.

The whole selling point in the film is Ewoks, isn't it? Yeah, but you're not going to release everything. I don't give away all the stuff you don't have bits of it. I mean, the Speed of Aik, you know, we don't know where that appears.

It just looks like you've got Stormtrooper riding it. So there's no new figure riding it. You've got the Scout Tuba there, and he's not doing great things. He's not linked up with the Speed of Aik.

So not particularly spoiling that scene either. But I mean, you're going to have some preview stuff, but none of that stuff was really pivotal to the film. But yeah. You know, the Speed of Aik isn't going to ruin the film anyway, because they've done something extremely clever.

Any of you guys notice it? The front of the Speed of Aik? They've put it upside down, you see? It could be anything.

It's like a funy angle, that, isn't it? It's upside down. See? They were looking at the wall of secrets.

That was a secret for the movie. Surprise, every kid in 1983, never saw that one come in. I've asked some largest scans, actually. I'm quite interested to see.

Well, to make re-pro ones, is it Pete? Yeah, but a pretty re-presed off. Take over the market like Darren Orr. Hey, you guys, you know, the pally toy catalog?

The one with the desk on the front. They used to go for about 20 pounds, about five years ago, and that goes for hundreds of pounds. What was the name? Like Area 51 Reproduction Catalog.

So you've got the pally toy one, and you've got the power of the force one with the shuttle on the front. How annoying is that? Those re-production ones were made in the 90s, and they're flooded the market with them. And you get them in the post, and you send around, and it says, this is a re-production by Area 51, I believe.

You guys come across this? Yeah, that was mentioned a few years back. Yeah, it was Ston by Repro, that's what I say. Absolutely.

That's what getting the genuine articles is so much nicer. At least they mark them. Oh, huh? At least they mark them with, like, this is a reproduction.

Not like some people. Say no to repry. Yeah, for sure. Right then.

So, on to the last thing I looked at, and I was brief on this one, because I couldn't find a great deal to talk about one. But Wolf and Wookie, James Martin picked up four unused Palatoid shelf talkers, and they're all empress-wise back ones, all in absolutely immaculate condition. Now, the term shelf talker basically, an item which covers the face of a shelf, was advertised on a product on a shelf. And back in the day, they were very, very converse.

They still have shelf talkers into a shop. Yeah, they do. They give for soles anyway, because they use to pinch them. Yeah, not like I've ever really noticed when I've been in there.

It's up because they were both your head-hait. They're normally behind a plastic strip, kind of like you see in supermarkets where they put, you know, the price of milk. They're normally behind them in a long strip now, they sort of cater for the mother, and what they used to be backing, obviously, when we were kids. Do any of you boys have any of these shelf talkers?

Do you think they look amazing with the run of figures to be displayed with? I don't have any, but I do agree with it. They do look nice. It's just, I'm not convinced that I could display them properly.

What they have, some was Wonder Bread. Wonder Bread? Yeah, Wonder Bread. It was like, um, where it was bread basically.

They had a little cards that came with a trading card. I think it was about 12 or 15 that used to collect from the States. And they got a shelf talker, and the micro collection has one. I don't think the droids have one, and I don't think Power of the Force has one.

I think there's a lot of reproduction ones that cater for that, but I'm not 100% on ever seeing a Power of the Force one or a droids one. Could be wrong now. I always planned when I finished my Looser Run and built my cabinet to display my Looser Run in, which to have on the shelves with the figures from the films, the shelf talkers on their shelves as you went down to sort of indicate which range of figures came from which film. That was going to be the last thing I collected on my Looser Run when I finished it.

So I think they're amazing. I mean, to me, I mean, having been involved in some of the things in the world of manufacturing and shampoo production and stuff, point of sale, sort of focus and design, it was always something to intrigue me. Because it's to grab the attention of the person walking past the shelf and to show shelf presence. So I mean, as we know, well, as you won't know, because you were too young, but as old as when you used to walk into toy stores or the largest stores and see the star wars stuff in there, I mean, it really did, you know, it shouted at you.

Come on, look at this, Star Wars. So, yeah, it's something that's always intrigued me, and I'm always very jealous when people get them and display them like that. They're fantastic. You'd like to pick them up then, Pete.

But actually, yeah, they're not the right now because the aim is to finish the list, but if they came on that reasonable price, yeah, I'd probably interest them, definitely. They were shits to retail it in quite high quantities. That's why they're so many unused ones. I don't know whether you're a sea used ones come up with up very often, because they're quite battered, wouldn't you?

After being used in a shop? Yeah, shops, I mean, I would think shops would throw that stuff away quite quickly as well. I'd say, well, I did find them when I was looking through the SVC, which was quite a simple, so yeah, a shelf talker that was mocked up for Revenge of the Jedi. Wow.

And it was dated the 11th of November at the Ballroom South at all, and then they had a return of the Jedi, one mocked up in the Zaty-zone design, which was dated the 18th of November. So somewhere in that week, they would have had to change that design. Wow. So somewhere around there is when it got changed.

I think what's really difficult to come across as well. I'm not sure if this is a Kennerware or a Paddy-soy one, but there's a, I think they call them Chef Wobblers. And they sort of stick out the shelf. There's one for Kellogg's C-3POs.

I know there's one for them, but there's one as well for the 12 bags, and it's got the San person, the Jawa and the Death Squad commander on Evacino's. They kind of like hang off the shelf. Never seen that one go for sale, and it was battered and went back to selling it a couple years ago, so those are exceedingly rare. The shelf dang-glazier, who knew?

The shelf dang, the shelf wobblers as well. They might be called shop wobblers as well, I think. But yeah, the shelf dang don't definitely go without. They also released a series of them in the Battle of 1982 with Jedi with ripoff forms for the customer to be able to take advantage of an offer, and they're extremely rare to farm on with an unused pad to the test for it.

I know sweet steaks still are on a shelf talkers with their offer with ripoff forms that are very hard to come by. Yeah, the one to look out for there is the Anakin offer one. I've seen one of those ever come up for sale. Those are really rare.

The Empire one isn't too bad to get mine, but it's probably the most boring in terms of design, but the Anakin one, forget about it. Never see it come up for sale. The Empire one is the only one that I could find on eBay that was original, that's sold in the last three months. Oh yeah, how much did it go for?

That was 100 quid on UK, that was a kind of one. Damn. Yeah, quite the price, wasn't it? Yeah, I really wanted it.

I got the Star Wars for everyone that came up with Jedi. I think that's the free poster. I love these things, man. I'd love to have all of them.

The ones that James has, the Palisoy ones, I might be wrong here, but I don't recollect seen Palisoy ones come up for sale often. I know he got from Mark Ferris, who's Curry-1-stone, the forums, and he hadn't been at Vio's front, but he also had tons of other amazing stuff. I'm not going to blend it into one, but yeah, I wish I picked up those, go be honest. There's an awful lot of reproductions of these, isn't there?

Yeah. Absolutely, the market's actually swamped with them. If you top shelf talker into eBay, there's just tons and tons of them. Well, Steve, listen, if you're going to start on the shelf talker, go to Wonder Bread first, and start with the Wonder Bread one.

See how it goes from there? Wonder Bread. Wonder Bread shelf talker. Seriously, check it out.

Type it into Google, it exists. It's a proper Star Wars shelf talker. Okay, I'll hold you to that. Let's know what this is.

It's the Darth Vader Collectors case from the Star Wars, the Empire Strikes Back Collection. Inside, it's got room for your favorite Star Wars, the Empire Strikes Back Action figures. They fit? Yeah, there's new Denbors.

Add a driver, Rebel Commander, Leia, and 2-1-B. You can hold up to 31 Action figures, eat Salt Separate, and you can pick the ones you can pick. Darth Vader Collectors case, Action figures, eat Salt Separate, some care. This month's song is dedicated to Mr.

Pali-Tai, Jason Smith. It's been a quarter of a century now, people, since the Rebels won the day. They destroyed that evil Empire, and the galaxy was saved. And solo Luke, play a Lando.

They're the heroes we all recall. But let's not forget about their big, harder friends who were only one meter tall. I'm talking about the E-Wands. They were more than just cute, because they bare.

Let's get some credit to the E-Wands, without their healthy alliance, and have a prayer. I was serving the Star Wars message boards, and Lord, I was shocked to read. All the headers, putting down the E-Wands. They said they've ruined the first drill of the G.

Where they may have been out of full children, and they may have been comically. And it may not make sense that they could beat Storm, because it was a primitive weaponry. But why are you hating on the E-Wands? Tell me what did they ever do to you.

Where's the love of the E-Wands? Just give it up, cause it's falling over, do. Clap your hands now. The Tanioreers.

The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers.

The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers.

The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers. The Tani. And at the end of that tune, and always looking bad, who set those captured rebels free?

And some might have reminded me of who throws the hardest treat off bodies in a galaxy. You know he's talking about the E-Wands? He feels like he's got it going on, having plenty of bad ears. E-Wands.

Sing it loud, so while those head is good here, come on now. The R inspirational. The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers.

The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers.

The Tanioreers. The Tanioreers. That was the E-Wands. Gospel Song by Andrew Zilch.
