Episode 10: Spooky book time and LGBTQIA+ books that make you feel seen

Episode 10  Marisa and Mary return this time and we declare it SPOOKY BOOK SEASON, and we discuss LGBTQIA+ books that make you feel seen. We also answer a question from a teen who asks "why does therapy get a bad rap in young adult literature?" This is a fun romantic comedy with a queer black protagonist who has to win prom queen to achieve her college dreams-the perfect balance of cute fluff and serious.  Marisa's second book was Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas. This is a debut about a trans boy determined to prove his gender to his traditional Latinx family summons a ghost of the school's resident bad boy-who refuses to leave. We stan.   Mary talked about The Montague Twins: The Witch's Hand, a graphic novel about twin boys solving paranormal mysteries. Brothers? Detectives? Witches?
