Episode 101: CLT grief
from Lymphedema Podcast · host Betty Westbrook
This episode is dedicated to John Jones, Luann Jacobs, LaTonya Lomax, Michael Birmingham, Carol Rhoden, and the many other patients over the years who have a permanent place in my heart. In October/November when I was preparing to shut the podcast down for the season, I was so burnt out. Life had caught up with me and I was desperate for a break, so I put the show on pause to reflect and prepare content that I wanted to talk about. Grief was one of the first topics I thought of. In the lymphedema community many people are grieving, each in their own way, and for their own personal reasons. Never did I expect to be in a season of grief when sharing this series, but life has a way of aligning messages when you really need them. Allie was (I HATE using past tense now when talking about her) and will continue to be a shining light for the lymphedema community! Many people have shared personal stories of her kindness and humor—I encourage you to visit the blog and learn from her fashion posts. This series begins with the CLT perspective on grief. My esteemed guest is Marshall Lyles LPC-S, LMFT-S, RPT-S, EMDRIA Approved Consultant, and he was the best guest! Fun, heart felt, professional, and insightful!!
