Episode Description
On Sunday, January 16, 2022, as the second part of our three-part series on New Year's Resolutions, our host Dr. Marianne Ritchie was joined by Simona Rossi, MD and Ryan Healy, MS, LPC from Einstein Healthcare Network for a discussion about cutting back your alcohol intake.
Dry January can provide an opportunity to give your body a rest after eating and drinking too much over the holidays. If you drink in moderate quantities, January is a good time to look at your health in general. But if you drink more than is recommended by CDC guidelines, you should turn in to learn about the possible health hazards of excess alcohol. Especially since people have been consuming more alcohol during the pandemic.
Simona Rossi, MD is the Chair of the Division of Hepatology for the Einstein Healthcare Network and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Sidney Kimmel Medical College.
Ryan Healy, MS, LPC is an Addictions Specialist in the Department of Liver Transplantation at Einstein Healthcare Network.
