Episode 101: Sleep, Reflux & Feeding with Natasha from Whole Child Co

from Natural Super Kids Podcast · host Jessica Donovan

In this episode, I am chatting with Occupation Therapist Natasha Duffin. Tash is an Occupational Therapist trained in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, paediatric feeding, sleep quality and infant reflux and a mother of three.Tash is passionate about sleep quality for our children during periods of early growth and critical brain development. She believes the wait-and-see approach does an injustice to the developing child and the family unit, viewing good quality sleep as a pillar of health and a foundation for growth and development. She is passionate about early intervention in the sleep, airway, and oral function space to prevent the snowballing of issues that can arise, experiencing this firsthand with two of her children. Her dream is that sleep quality and airway development become part of mainstream healthcare advice and intervention to truly set up our children for the best start in life. An incredible combination of training, and I cannot wait to learn from her. In this episode, Tash shares with us:A little bit about herself and what she focuses on as an Occupational Therapist; We dive into sleep and talk about the common causes of sleep issues for babies, toddlers, and kids.We talk about sleep quality, and the signs parents can look out for to rate their kid's sleep quality;Tash shares with us her approach to reflux and the common feeding issues she sees in babies. Episode Links:Check out Tash's offerings on her website here.  Follow Tash on Instagram here. This episode is proudly sponsored by my membership, the Natural Super Kids Klub.
