Episode 105: The Straight Shootin' View Episode 60 - Friendlies, Fitness, Euro 2020 Covid & Risking Players

Will Covid19 have a major impact on Euro 2020 due to multiple host countries? Is a half fit Jordan Henderson better than no captain? Do fans get too hung up on results of friendlies? In this episode of the Straight Shootin' View, SSLJA discusses the fallout from England's narrow 1-0 win v Romania in a pre Euro 2020 friendly and the overly harsh criticism from fans and some sections of the media about captain Jordan Henderson's fitness, as well as Manager Gareth Southgate's team selection and formations for the recent friendlies and a chance at redemption that was taken away from Liverpool Full Back Trent Alexander-Arnold due to injury. SSLJA discusses the role of a captain and has some poignant comments on a captains role aimed at Roy Keane as well as discussing the potential impact of Covid-19 on the European Championships, especially as matches are being held in multiple host countries, whilst the pandemic is still going on and the entire Spain squad having to go into isolation due to midfielder Sergio Busquets testing positive for Covid.
