Elizabeth is an award winning teacher and writer who earned her Ph.D. in English literature from Vanderbilt University. She grew up in New Jersey and attended Rutgers University, where she double-majored in English and history. In 2011, she left classroom teaching to open a private tutoring business.  Elizabeth began publishing in graduate school and wrote book reviews and features for ForeWord, a prominent book review publication, for about ten years. She decided to write History According to SAT because so many students do not have the necessary background information to navigate test passages successfully.
