'Episode # 107 "The More You Know, Can Make a Difference" with guest speaker Angela U. Carter

from Be Encouraged! Podcast with Jackie Brindle · host Jackie Brindle

Welcome to the BE ENCOURAGED! Podcast!  I am your host, Jackie Brindle and you are listening to episode 107.  Thank you for joining me!  There was a long break since the last episode, so I appreciate your patience, as you graciously awaited the return of a NEW episode!  A reminder—- each new episode will air every other Monday — so mark your calendars and set the date to listen in to a message that will be sure to encourage you in your daily life and your faith.  Today, this is a special episode because I sat down with Angela U. Carter, who is a mother, grandmother, pastor, and community advocate against domestic violence and abuse, and who also is a domestic abuse survivor herself. In addition, she is the author of a book titled: “Letters to Ma Mama: All the Things I Never Said”. —- available now on Amazon or on the link below.  As you listen today, take notes!  Angela infuses our conversation with her own life experiences and she reveals insight on how to be aware of the red flags one should notice in a new relationship and what red flags to recognize if you are in an abnormal relationship vs. a normal relationship.  She speaks truth with love today — knowing that this might be a difficult subject for some, as they might be a survivor themselves, experiencing domestic violence, and you can always circle back to this even if you are not ready to listen to this one yet.  Personally, now that I know more, I am compelled to lead with compassion to help domestic violence and abuse centers and more overtly to value the lives of others. We never know what someone is walking through or has walked through so I hope this lets you know today that YOU ARE NOT ALONE! You are loved unconditionally by God and I pray you to know and experience the fullness of God's love through Jesus when you face trials of any kind. Also, the information for the national domestic violence and support website and phone number are in the show notes below. So grab your notepad, your cup of coffee, or get on your walk or run but wherever you are ---- BE ENCOURAGED! -Jackie Resources:  Learn more about Angela U.
