Elle Russ chats with Jessica Viker - a Registered Nurse, with both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Arts degree. In addition to over a decade of experience as a nurse at the bedside in multiple medical specialties, Jess is a certified health & wellness coach who has experienced navigating her own complex journey back to health after suffering from a sharp decline in her early 30s that medical management alone did not fix. Utilizing a combination of a low-carb/high-fat diet protocol and proper hypothyroid management by her doctor, Jess transformed her exhausted, overweight, highly inflamed body back into the strong and healthy home it was meant to be. It instantly became a passion of hers to utilize her science education, personal experience, and understanding of human metabolism to help others who thought there was no hope of "normal" ever again. Jess specializes in coaching those with medical diagnoses, whether newly diagnosed or chronic for years, to optimize their health. It's a partnership between proper medical management by their medical team and diet and lifestyle management through coaching. Jess does not believe in a "one size fits all" approach to health, and tailors each client's protocol to their particular situation, adapting as changes occur. Jess lives in Los Angeles with her partner Jason and their kitties Margo and Moxxi.
