Episode #1098: Wade Shoemaker
from The Big Honker Podcast Hosted by Andy Shaver & Jeff Stanfield
Jeff Stanfield and Andy Shaver are joined by Wade Shoemaker, host of the Ducks Unlimited Podcast. Wade shares the journey that led him to becoming the voice of the Ducks Unlimited Podcast and discusses the perspective and energy he hopes to bring to the show as he connects with hunters and conservationists across North America. The conversation turns to waterfowl migration, as the guys discuss how the major flyways continue to evolve and what those changes could mean for duck hunters in the years ahead. Wade also reflects on some of his favorite adventures from the past season, including a bucket-list hunt body booting the Susquehanna Flats, one of the most iconic waterfowl destinations in the country. To wrap things up, Jeff, Andy, and Wade share stories about introducing their young children to waterfowl hunting, the excitement of watching them develop a passion for the outdoors, and why passing hunting traditions to the next generation is one of the most rewarding parts of being a hunter.
