What are your thoughts on whether or not the Linux distros should seriously begin thinking about making the desktop UIs more touch friendly?  I ask this because as you know, more and more ultrabooks and even some of the desktop all-in-one PCs have touch screens nowadays. By and large the Linux desktop user interfaces are still primarily mouse and keyboard focused.  Perhaps the Unity desktop comes the closest to being more touch friendly, but then there’s the question of the applications that are written for Linux as well.  Not that I’m suggesting that mouse and keyboard go away, but just provide touch capabilities as well.  The OS could add support for touchpad gestures, etc. Just wondering what your thoughts are?  May be a good discussion for you and Rocco on Destination Linux.  I know you have the Solus guy on there a week or so ago.  Perhaps he has some thoughts on this.
