Driven by her passion for working with children, Kathleen, who thrives from the natural wonder and curiosity of children, shares with listeners how this very special hands-on STEM museum, combined with art and reading, has created a one-of-a-kind "STREAM" place and space of exploration, all wrapped in a cocoon of a "learn by playing" approach. Kathleen, who joined SDCDM in 2019, just in time to enjoy the evolutionary chaos of COVID, shares how it was a period of great transformation and strategic reflection for SDCDM, all for the benefit of the 4-5 year old children it serves.Kathleen was also extraordinarily generous with respect to her appreciation for San Diego Gives. We learned that as a result of its relationship with San Diego Gives, over 1100 children and adults enjoyed reduced admission to the museum! Now that is impact!
