Episode 11 - Matthew Hull

from The Motor Dream Podcast · host Conor McNally

In this episode, host Conor McNally shares the common dream of many - to build a race car or bike and take it out on the track. He reached out to his guest, Matthew Hull, who not only talked the talk but walked the walk, buying a Hyundai Excel and transforming it into a budget race car. Frustrated by the lack of online resources for building a race car, Hull decided to document his journey and share the dos and don'ts of the process, giving birth to the Nugget Project. Through his project, he aims to educate prospective racers and bring the love of motor racing to a wider audience. Matthew Hull's rich background in photography and videography, featured in Street Machine magazine, underscores his passion for cars and racing. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the racing world, he now finds himself living out his childhood dream of racing and working in the industry. From witnessing the talents of figures like Wayne Gardner to capturing the JDM culture, Hull has found his calling in both racing and photography, and he is reveling in the experience.
