Tritya, it's not. It's the Just Two Ladies podcast. Ooh, here we go, boys.

This is the Just Two Ladies podcast with your hosts. This is Caroline. And this is Courtney. This is not Taylor Swift.

Oh, thank goodness. We can come to the phone right now. We're not dead. No, no.

I'll tell you. Oh, have it from her. Oh, yeah. Where is she?

She's dead. I miss her a little bit. Just like a tiny bit. Just like a tiny bit.

I want to keep hearing her sing about Sargill's staircase. Yeah. Oh, I forgot. She really likes viral stuff.

The steer. Yeah. I'm just going to a different time. No, great.

How's going, Caroline? Oh, I'm just dandy. How are you, Courtney? Okay.

I'm doing okay. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, man. It's been a week.

It's been a week and I can't wait to talk about it with you. Because, guess what? We frequently say it's been a week. Yeah.

Except this week, it's been a cute week. A cute week. A different kind of week than usual. Look what you made me cute.

Perfect. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

I feel like, oh no. Me bringing her up is like me giving her a promotion. Um, I don't know if it's not. Okay, good.

Because we're still making fun of her. I'm just going to talk about, there's more stuff about her later, I think. There is. That we were going to talk about from her cute week.

You're definitely right. That's not her new album. Thank goodness. But we had some, we actually got a lot of responses this week, which is exciting.

Thank you so much. Exciting. So as always, our research boy emailed us and he had a lot to say, so we picked a few things to talk about. But, um, he had seven points in his email and all of the people.

Um, but we just saw, there's just so much and so little time. So, um, Connor, oh, we, uh, you were telling a story last week about how Connor shaped his head. Yes. Thank you for the, um, St.

Baldrick's Foundation, uh, which is a nonprofit organization that raises money for childhood cancer research, which is super cool. So they raised over $16,000, um, was us from 46 Shady's. Shady's. Shady's.

So yeah, so thank you Connor for letting us know. So that's St. Baldrick's Foundation. And, um, he said, keep an eye out for another event, maybe in Boseman.

Y'all, it's really sweet. It's so cool. And they make like, they make it super fun and it's also very, uh, emotional. Yeah.

And just it touches your, your little heart. The pictures are really cute. I remember seeing photos when they went up and it was very sweet. Yeah.

Yeah. Also, we were talking about our new friends. A phone, new friends, two new friends and, um, Connor recognized our description of one of our new friends. Yes.

Our rodeo friend. And he said that he knows him. We had a class with him, which is so sweet. So that made me really glad.

We're all just trying to be educators. Yeah. Some sort of a new friends. A new friends plus one.

That's what it's Connor. Circon across the pond. A new friends plus one. Doon it.

That's perfect. Thank you. Connor also said, uh, yes, yes, yes to car screaming. Yes, yes, yes, yes.

I'm glad that that's like a con-intactic. He said Courtney, I know exactly what you're talking about. It's a great stress reliever. Absolutely.

I just, I will never stop talking. I love screaming in my car. I have this mental image of you two parked next to each other. Or like one of you has parked there and you've been sitting there for a bit, you know, probably waiting for the appropriate time to go to class and not be too early.

Right. And then the other one pulls up and the one that's already been there is screaming a bit. And then you look over and you're like, oh, there's my fellow car screamer. And then you both are just screaming, but you don't hear the other one.

Right. The people outside of the car are looking at you both and they're like, what is going on? What a day it has been. What a rare moon there is.

Why it's almost like screaming to the void. There is a smile on my face. Oh, the whole. Okay.

Yeah. No, I, I always forget that like cars aren't soundproof. So I'm sure there's been plenty of times I've screamed in my car that people have heard me and it's muffled. They got lucky.

Oh my gosh. Like a kid. We got lucky by draft book. Come on back.

Listen to episode 10. Right. We're up. What you made me do.

Anyways. So thank you Connor as always for your sweet email. It was very like sentimental and sweet this week, which our favorite guy. I'm just a little bit.

Yeah, it was very nice. We can't wait for you to be back in. Bozeman. Yes.

So I can meet you. We did meet once very briefly, but it doesn't count. It doesn't count. I was afraid.

That was a hard night. Yeah, it was like a little, it just wasn't the right setting. Yes. Yes.

So Connor, I can't wait to meet you again officially. A formal meet. A formal. Here's a formal meet.

Yes. Formerly. So Connor says, as always eat a good breakfast. Smile.

Learn some new knock jokes. Make a new friend. Your friend all counts. Well, as a matter of fact, we did make some new friends.

I would have to check that out the list. Check. We had the right breakfast this morning. So you turned that off list.

Where did you go, by the way? We went to Unnoted. Oh, that's a new place. Yeah, kind of.

And it was funny because Josh and I went to breakfast and my roommate, our other roommate also ended up going to breakfast there at the same time as us. That's so funny. But it was so delicious. We had like the sweetest, nicest breakfast.

And it was so cute. That's excellent. Yeah. I used to be kind of like a one of those, I don't eat breakfast kids.

Yeah. Sometimes I still am, but I've just all month I've just been eating a Clementine. Oh. Every morning.

Yes, I've gone through that. That's, yeah. Delish. I'm like, when I eat breakfast, that's what I eat.

It's just like a single Clementine. Oh, yeah. It's perfect. I peeled mine perfectly this morning.

I was certain I was a god. Yeah. I'm just a girl though. Yeah.

Working on the Eat A Good Breakfast. Yeah. Thank you for these lists. They're good ones.

I really like to keep in mind. When I was a kid, I really loved knock-knock jokes, but I'm having a hard time remembering what they were. Yeah. I just remember some really bad jokes that we told that were just kind of like anti-jokes.

Oh, I remember anti-jokes for sure. Fun. Yeah. Yeah.

Then you realize that that's what life is essentially. It's just an anti-joke. How's that? We'll throw that in there.

Knock-knock. Who's there? An existential crisis. That's fun.

Speaking of fun. I got two responses about the way bag is pronounced. Yes. Thank you.

We're learning. Learning so much. As you remember, last week, our good buddy, Pilar, wrote us in with her two cents. That is the same way.

Two cents of two cents. Two whole cents. One two. One two cents above.

One two cents. Pilar told us about her pronunciation of bag because as you know, there is a great debate. The great debate. The bad versus bag.

And we got two of those this week. So first comes from my good pal, Emily, who was here for freshman year. And now she's, I think in Colorado now, like she cuts down trees all the time. Is all I know for her job?

A little longer. A little longer. Ooh. That's her character, Emily, the little longer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we're still going to call you that. Love you. Okay. She writes, I'm from Wisconsin.

I'm almost certain that weird way to say bag came from the good old Midwest. I definitely say bag like a sane human being, AKA the same way you two were saying it. Thank you so much. Yeah.

I think the Midwest was my like, my guess. Yeah. So that's a good confirmation. Thanks.

Yes. Thank you for your input. It's brilliant. And then we went on to talk about she's like, Oh my God, whenever I tell people in Wisconsin, they just kind of talk to me like they think Wisconsin's talk.

Yeah. Which I forgot is a response to people being like, Oh, an accent. Oh, you're not forgotten here. It's not a good response.

No. No, not at all. No, but like it's it's it's like, there's so much feel that they're more common than others. Canada's one.

Oh, definitely. Yeah. I'm from Canada and people automatically like do the Canada voice. In England.

Right. It was from England. Yikes. That one's annoying.

Totally. That one's like, I used to do that as a joke when I was younger because I thought it was funny. A little bit. And it's just I can't even imagine how frustrating that would be to hear someone make fun of your accent like that.

Like so poorly. Yikes. So we automatically go to Carkney. Oh, there's so many different dialects and different, you know, like regions that have different access, which is fascinating.

It's hard to like. I don't know. It would be so frustrating. I don't know.

Anyways, sorry everybody from everybody. An apology from almost everyone else. Good start. We have another excellent response about the great debacle.

Oh, dear lord. Okay. This is from you remember her. We know her.

We love her Maggie. She writes and this is she sent me screenshots from. And Megan. This is a conversation with her aunt.

She writes because okay. Yeah. Well, I context so the context is so Barack Obama says the word, Jeff. And most people say gifts, right?

Even though that's not how the creator of the gift says it. He says Jeff. Right. So that was kind of our thought like however Barack Obama says bag.

That's the way. Yes. So Maggie, do you have Barack's phone number? She writes back what?

Why? Because did you guys just live by him and like play soccer with his kids or something? She goes yes, but it's not like we were besties. He doesn't live here anymore.

And Maggie writes I just want to know if he pronounces bag bag or bag and she wrote it out. Be a I. And then she gave her context. And she said that she was wondering because I was worried about her well being.

I was worried that she was a really influence. She certainly was not. I'm just curious. So I said, okay, well, so yeah, no, I don't have his number, but I bet he says bag like it's pronounced in the dictionary.

That makes sense. Bag. I think we settled it. Yeah.

I mean, really? Yeah. I'm glad we did that. Yeah.

We did it. Thanks for letting us know. Yeah, we can if we get a Nobel Peace Prize for that research will be sure to include you on the plaque. Oh, yeah.

We just care like that, you know. Yeah. It's important work we do here on the podcast. Caring and laughing.

This research and caring and laughing and our research boy. Yeah, we got them all. Yeah. We hit every single point.

That's perfect. All right. Our last responses were pretty cute. Yeah.

And we put them in a new segment name. Just a little one because they're special to us. Yes. This is called Monet Around the Christmas Tree.

The Christmas Tree. The Christmas Tree. The dark. Sorry to bombard you with Christmas music, but it was funny.

I'm the last person I want to do that. But like, no, me too. We were trying to think of good names for this. And I was like, Mom, it was the first thing that came to my mind and it made a schedule.

I've been in the stores that are already playing Christmas music. Like, it's one thing to have Christmas stuff out for sale, but it's another thing to be playing Christmas music at the beginning of November. It's not the season yet. We haven't given it.

Yeah. And I'd say week after Thanksgiving, I won't be surprised to hear it. Yeah. No, neither.

But any time before that, I'm like, oh, guys, please. No, no, no, no. Yeah. I think this problem really, really, if we're going to get down to the bones of it, let's do it.

It stems from the lack of good Thanksgiving music. Ah. Oh, what's up, guys? Let's write some Thanksgiving music.

It's a breakthrough. Yeah. Because there's the Adam Sandler Thanksgiving song. Oh, yeah.

About the turkey. And then there's Bob's Burger Thanksgiving song. I forgot about that. I just want him to go.

I'm like a loop. Yes. Come on, Michael's craft store. Please get a bolt.

Yeah. Smosh it around the Christmas tree is here. Yeah. Here we go.

Bob's. Sorry. We're back to Bob's Perfect. Mow it around.

So the first response comes from my mom Holly. She writes us with a hey, don't do that. Maybe. You can do that on Twitter.

JTLPodcast.com. Nailed it. Got it. Holly writes along the lines of doggo.

Hey, doggo. Don't call students slash children, littles or kiddos. They are students. They are humans.

Don't belittle them. She includes with hey, don't do that at all. Ever. She's pissed.

Whoo. It's a call out. What do you think about that? No, I think she's right.

And I've definitely been guilty of that because I think kiddos is a key word. Kiddos is pretty sweet. But I'm not going to say that. I'm not going to say that.

No, she's all right. I know. If you're talking about preschoolers, kiddos. Maybe if you're talking about them two people and now let's say kidding, kiddos, kiddos.

The person I was talking to, she hates when I was talking to people, all right ladies and gentlemen get to know, you're most probably the one with Vanessa really sea yeah what we getting there's going to work on. There are other plazas once we get to genocide, kids! That's what things happen, so that's the whole problem. But that's not true men.

This is technology. But yeah, you're most totally right. Like, they're people. Especially like you get to the middle school level.

It's like, okay, they're people. Yeah, they're just human beings, you know? I'm definitely up the mic. They deserve as much respect as anybody else.

And as they're gonna give you or as they're expected to give you. Totally, totally. I get really tired of, because I'm in a ton of education classes, even though I'm not like a traditional education major. Right.

You get to tell people like, there you go, why are you in education? Oh, I just love all the kiddos. I just love kids. That can't be your reason.

Nope. It's not a good enough reason I wanna teach. Correct. So yeah, for sure.

Thank you, Holly. Thanks for letting us all know. Yes. The next was from my mom.

Amy. Amy. And she actually posted a video on face or shared a video on Facebook and tagged us in it where she said, she's having a little cry. It just made my day.

Which is a second we haven't done in a while, but maybe we'll have to bring it back now. She said, at J.T.Pock has hashtag little cries. She was ready when she was. She's learning about them.

Yeah, she's using his hashtag. Excellent. But it was a video of, it was a football game. And there was a kid with cerebral palsy.

And they were gonna have him, I mean, essentially he was only really able to run a few steps. And so their whole plan was to give him the ball and have him run as far as he could, which was they expected maybe 10 yards, run with the ball and then start the next player, whatever. And he ran all the way, like he probably ran 100 yards and made a touchdown, which was so cool. Like he just kept going.

And all the players from both teams were like cheering on and running with him and clapping and making sure that he made it there okay. And it was very sweet. It was very sweet. I am one person who's like, oh, sports, what are they good for?

Me too. It's just no point. And then I either think one, well, they probably say about art and music, so whatever. Two, there's things like that.

Like little uplifting things of like a team. Like a team. A team. There's a little team.

They're brothers. Yeah. Blood brothers. Stranger things, season two.

Right? Yeah, no, that's just very, like there's, there are those, you have those moments, you know, because sometimes it can be a key. And other times it's just like, no, they're just, that's kind of nice. You get those moments of like real human respect and love.

And you're like, okay, all right, it was fine. Yeah, everything's like, it's okay. Less than number one. Do it every one helping kid run.

Yeah. And have a cute week because of it. Oh, we certainly did. Oh yeah, we did.

Before we get that. Yeah. Before we get there. These two patterns are tough sometimes.

Yesterday we did this thing called extra life that we talked about. We had every plan to record a little bit of it. Yeah. For this podcast.

It just didn't happen. Right. You want to tell a little bit about it? I would love to.

Yeah. So if you missed last week or if you, you know, so don't quite get it. It's a fundraiser. It's a annual fundraiser for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

And basically the idea is that people all over the country and all over the world play video games for a whole day to raise money. And a lot of people are like, how do those things correlate? It's just like, you know, they do. It's not like a, you know, like one of those like walk-a-thons or whatever.

Oh, like every, yeah, like every mile. Maybe like every hour we did or every good score we got. We'd get some money. I think that was like the original premise of it.

Yeah. But really it's just about like promoting this, like, you know, promoting like, hey, let's just, you know, do something we love for a good cause. Love each other up on this. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly.

And raise some money and, you know, just help out your community, which is a super cool thing. So we had some friends over and we didn't go. It was supposed to be 24-hour thing. We did not.

We didn't. We didn't. This is my fourth year doing it. It was your second or third.

First really doing it. Sure. Second or third. Right.

Yeah. So, um, we've attempted 24 hours in the past. My first year I did the full 24 hours. That's incredible.

And I never really made it like the past two years we kind of fizzled out a little early. So this year we planned for 18. And we did, we made 18. Well, not all of us.

Pretty much. Easily. Yeah. I was like, oh, I could keep going.

Yeah. No, and it was fun. And we were entertained all day and we had, you know, we just, yeah, it was great. We had a little over $300 and we are, the donations are still open until New Year's.

Oh, nice. So if you are out there or you know somebody who is looking for a cause to donate to Extra Life is a great one. And it's, you know, it's just a, it's a very sweet thing. We love doing it every year.

And so it's like, community is helping communities. Totally. Alright. Getting into video games this year.

Like actually, yeah. Yeah. You see so many different kinds of people. Like all just kind of like sports.

Right. You know, it's a good thing for sure. It's just like a little. Cause we love it.

Yeah. And it's a very common conversation thing. Oh, you know, inside of this. We did it differently.

And so I have all these people be like, oh, yeah, let's help someone. Right. That's so nice. Yeah.

Yeah. And so the rooster teeth team, which is who I originally like the first couple of years, I did it. I was raising for their team. They actually, they raised, I think, $1.2 million one day.

So that is just amazing. Like this charity does some pretty incredible stuff. And all the money goes directly to the hospitals. Like, there's no like, you know, intermediary stage where like you don't really know what happens.

It's for your hospital goes directly to the hospital. So they get to decide to do it. So it's very, you know, like it's all, you know, where the money's going. And it's, yeah, it's just, it's a cool time.

Yeah. We had a lot of fun. We played a lot of fun games. We told some good jokes.

We did have a Twitch stream for some of the time. So I don't know if you guys like, it might not be the most exciting thing, but they're still up or a Twitch channel is called Birdhouse Kids. So if you go, if you want to watch some gameplay, we stream bloodborne and we streamed that block. Oh, yeah, we streamed that block theater.

And I think one more thing. But a twitch.tv slash birdhouse kids was our first channel. Yeah. And you know, we just had a good time.

It was really fun at the end there. It was like 1 AM. Yeah. And we kept telling that joke about like reinforcing that you're a guy.

Oh, yes. So we were one of our friends who was playing, he's playing Battlefield 1. Oh, yes. And there's this, there's this cut scene and there's this guy like where the character said, I'm your guy.

And that's what the captions, the subtitles said, but it really just said, he's like, he said, Hey, I'm so is so I'm a guy. So we just kept making this joke about like being so nervous. Like, Oh, yes, me a guy. Yes.

Oh, you know, me, just another guy. Just guys being just us guys. All of us and we're all guys. And it was one of us.

We were just crying. We were laughing so hard. So fun. So that was the joke of the night for sure.

Yeah. Yeah, that was sweet. That was, yeah. Anyways, so if you were able to donate, please do check out extra life.

It's extra dash life.org. You can search birdhouse kids. You can search my name, but or whatever, like if you live somewhere else, if you don't live in Montana and you would like to donate to a hospital near you, you can look that up as well, but please, you know, it's for the kids and yeah, we just love it. We're the kids hashtag for the kids.

So anyways, that was extra life. It was a good day. Hell yeah. Loved it.

Yeah. I played some Splatoon. Yes. Some Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild.

Some Super Mario Odyssey and a new cover. Stardew Valley. Oh, yes, that's right. That was the first time playing that.

Yeah. Yeah. I wanted to start it with people that knew and there were two excellent kind boys that helped me out when I was asking. It's really cute because it's about farming.

Like I'm from a little family of farmers. Yeah. So it's a little bit fun and maybe that'll become a segment. We'll see.

Cute. The story of Valley. Oh, God. Nice.

Love it. Love it. We have another story before we get to the cute stories. Yeah.

It's just hilarious. Yes. It's just ironic. So I went out for dinner and drinks with my boyfriend and his co-workers who are all wonderful.

Two of them were having this conversation. I didn't hear the beginning of the conversation, but they ended up talking about movies, and one of the movies they were talking about was Wonder Woman. I just overheard this little tidbit of the conversation with me. But they were saying one of them was like, Oh, God, that movie.

I was so annoyed. It would have been fun if they just caught up the entire hour of her being like, I'm a woman. I can do anything a man can do. Guess what?

That didn't happen. Which I feel like is the opposite of what that movie was. Absolutely. Because I think the whole point of it was that like she didn't realize that the gender stereotypes were a thing because she didn't grow up in a place with men.

She transcends that. Exactly. So she's just doing her stuff and it's the other people who are like, She's a woman. She could do anything.

Woman? A woman? Yeah. It was not her saying that.

It just made me laugh. Like, Josh, like he put his hand on my leg and was like, Oh, all right. Like we were both a little uncomfortable, but it was just odd. It was so funny because like we were going through the week just being like, Oh, I'm a woman.

I can do anything. Yeah. Well, I'm a woman. I can do that for an hour.

God, I just think that's so funny. Yeah. People wanted to hate that movie for that reason. Yeah.

Yeah. Because it was good. When they tried to by making things up like there's a whole hour in the whole hour. No, no.

She's a woman. Yes. She'd do anything. Is this the same Stevie next guy?

Yeah. There's a guy. What are the guys there? I was just sad.

He was so cynical about everything, but we'd be like, we'd be talking about the song and come on the radio and be like, Oh, I love this band. Yeah. And whoever it was, this person hated someone in the band. Yeah.

So it was a Fleetwood Mac. I think it was Dreams came on. Yeah. Which is a great song.

And it's a whole album. That's such a sad. I love this album. Yes.

My favorite. I love rumors by Fleetwood Mac. And we're talking about Fleetwood Mac and this guy's trying to go like, Oh man, fuck steating nails. Was that the same with the Eagles too?

Yeah. Yeah. The Eagles song came on actually was funny because they played the same Eagles. Hey, hey, hey.

Do you have a love song? Yeah. Guess what time it is. What time is it?

It's time to talk about the cutest week. The cutest week. The cutest week. Come on now.

You're the next contestant on the cutest week. Come on everybody. I can't hear you. Cutest week.

Wow. Wow. So I just want to tell you guys something funny Courtney said because it was funny. It was right at the beginning of our art class.

And I think it was when you were talking about the box, right? Yeah. It was like a part of my art project. Yeah.

Because we were doing this art project and I was not thrilled with how it was going. But it looks sick now. It looks perfect. But earlier it wasn't great.

Courtney just looks down at her work and she goes, this is bad with a capital A right in the middle. Well, I just kept thinking about how like people are like, oh, that's bad with a capital B. No, no. Because it's like the first letter of the word is a capital which means it's a certain way.

And I was like, no, I'm going to mix it up a little bit. Shake it up. Right in the middle. What does that mean?

Do you think? I mean life is unpredictable. Yeah. Life is crazy and random.

Yeah. Sometimes it's bad with a capital A right in the middle. Do you know what I just remembered? There was a John Green book called Paper Towns.

Did you ever read it? I read like half of it. Okay. There is a quirky girl character in that book.

Oh, Cara Delavigne. And they talk about how when she writes she just capitalizes random letters in her senses. She is quirky. Hey guys, I'm quirky.

And that's what that made me think of. No, I'm that person. No, you're not. You're better than it.

Because you don't purpose and you're aware of it. Yeah. Yeah. Some people look at my handwriting and they're like, oh, do you like paper towns?

Oh, what? Because I don't capitalize my eyes and my J's because I like to dot them. Yeah. And they're like, oh, you're just like, what's her name?

Really? Margot? Margot? No, it's just for speed sake.

Wow, that's interesting. Don't label me. Yeah. Oh, that was never a connection I would have thought to make.

Thank God. Yeah. Yeah, that's bad with a capital A right in the middle. Lesson number two.

Right. It's like, I know. We went, what we wasn't at the point in the... I just think it was last week.
