Episode 11 The Lost City of Atlantis Between Myth and Reality

Atlantis. The name alone evokes a sense of wonder and mystery. The tale of this lost city first appeared around 360 BCE when the ancient Greek philosopher Plato mentioned it in his dialogues, Timaeus and Critias. According to him, Atlantis was a powerful island, rich in resources, with magnificent architecture and a civilization ahead of its time. Yet, in a single night, it was swallowed by the sea in a cataclysmic flood.
