Episode 11 - WHEN A SCAR BECOMES A GATEWAY

from Where We Touch · host Judy

Send us Fan MailThis episode was written and recorded in honor of a gentleman named Robert  Levine. We met for the first time on the day before his 96th birthday. Bob inspired me to look at life through a lens of gratitude and thoughtfulness. A consummate gentleman, though he had struggled mightily in his younger life, he met each day with a sense of wonder and curiosity. I wanted his story to be published between Memorial Day and the anniversary of D-Day, as Army Private Robert Levine was a decorated veteran of World War II.  His service to our country changed the trajectory of his life forever. Many thanks to his daughters, Jane Powers and Nancy Harney, for allowing me to share his incredible story here on Where We Touch. Below are a few links if you'd like more information on his heroic journey:https://www.war.gov/News/Feature-Stories/story/Article/1868947/wwii-veteran-shares-memories-from-normandy-invasion/https://www.stripes.com/theaters/us/d-day-anniversary-ceremony-honors-those-who-took-on-an-awesome-responsibility-far-beyond-their-years-1.584930**************************************************************************************DISCLAIMER FOR LISTENERSFor those who may be sensitive to sound effects, please be mindful that they are utilized in this podcast to enhance Bob's heroic story.New Episodes will be released on the 1st and the 15th of every month of 2026.Please share with others that might find a blessing...
