Martinique is a beautiful Black Woman on a mission! Seeing the lack of black business enterprises being represented as they should in the travel industry, she set out to change the game. She was bold enough to talk about diversity in travel at a time when the concept was unpopular. Ever gone somewhere and wondered where you could find a black owned restaurant for lunch or dinner? Working by day and toiling by night she shares how she had to dig deep to discover where these businesses were, not because they were all physically hidden, but because there existed no search engine that would easily supply this information. She single handedly started and brought together the sources that today will help you easily support the African Diaspora globally.Wearing many hats, Martinique has many titles. Two of which are a Diversity and Travel Consultant, teaching travel brands and tourism boards how to market to BIOPIC communities, and President of the Black Travel Alliance - which has gifted over $100k in scholarships, helping black companies in the tourism space. And that's just the beginning.Her love for travel, her people, culture and representation has led her to publish books, create the ABC Travel Greenbook app (a modern take on the iconic guide from Victor Hugo Green), and so much more.
