Episode 110: Virus

from B Movie Breakdown · host Corey, Nick, & Gina

Since Halloween is now upon us, we have decided to dedicate the entire month of October to nothing but horror movies. We kick off our horror movie marathon with the 1999 film VIRUS starring non other than the scream queen herself, Jamie Lee Curtis. When a typhoon cripples their boat, the crew of the Sea Star sails into the eye of the storm, where they discover a high-tech Russian communications and research vessel adrift. Only one Russian crew member is still alive, raving about “intelligent lightning.” They soon discover that an alien life form has taken over the ship’s computers, churning out mechanical insects and cyborg warriors. With their own boat destroyed, the crew must battle the alien life form and escape as the ship reenters the storm.

Shut Up I Love It Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello Many years ago, Sasha Feiler and Joe Cabello met in line for an improv show. They were young, dumb, and full of it. What followed were comedy shows so explicit, “genitalia” was practically a term of endearment.Fast forward 5 dogs, 6 cats, and way too many weird inside jokes later, Sasha and Joe are no longer young or dumb—but they’re still brimming with you-know-what. Here, they’ve teamed up to bring you a podcast where they interview a guest who passionately defends something universally hated, misunderstood, forgotten, overlooked, Mandela-effected, canceled—you name it. The key? They LOVE it. From toupees... to B-movies... to aliens, psychedelics, and the occasional surprise character, Sasha and Joe are here to spread love to the world that birthed them (but maybe should’ve used protection). So come and get that love because no one else will give it to you like we do.Also, don’t forget to check out the Patreon Bonus version of the show:https://www.patreon.com/c/ShutUpILoveItP Explicit The Spoofcast The Spoofcast The podcast where hosts Adam Oppenheimer and Steven Pipps rate, review, and revile every spoof movie ever made to create the definitive spoof movie ranking. Feel free to share this with anyone; SGR started as a movie review channel, which I did with a friend. However, it has morphed into something I love doing: learning from others and networking. There are many different segments; I hope you have time to listen to them when you can, and they provide value in your world. Oh, if you want the visuals check us out on YouTube. Explicit
