Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 33:12 If I were hungry I would not tell thee For the world is mine and the fullness therof. Psalm 50:12 DEVOTION Based on Psalm 50 When someone gives us a gift, it’s only natural to express gratitude for their kindness and thoughtfulness. So as each day draws to a close, we have the opportunity to slow down, look around, and reflect on all that God has given us. No matter what type of day you’ve had, there is reason for rejoicing. He says, “For the world and everything in it is Mine” (Psalm 50:12 CSB). This includes you and the bless­ings He’s provided for your life. Take a deep breath and release the trials of the day. Praise Him for His gifts and His justice. Praising God pleases Him and helps us listen for His tender whispers of love in return. Tonight, let’s commit ourselves to the Lord as we experience His hope and peace as we lie down to rest. A.C.T.S. REFLECTION ADORATION: This psalm talks about honoring God with an offering. As you think about the ways God has worked in your life, can you offer your life to Him once more? Lay down your life at His feet and find rest in your commitment to the Lord. CONFESSION: Acknowledge any unconfessed sin before the Lord and ask for His forgiveness. Ask Him to help you love Him and obey Him. Ask Him to teach you what it means to follow Him. THANKSGIVING: Praise the Lord for His righteousness, for His mercy and justice. Praise Him for His love and forgiveness. Thank Him for the blessings He has given you and for the times He has helped you and delivered you. SUPPLICATION: Father, thank You for Your presence, Your creation, Your loving-kindness, and Your provision. All that I have is Yours; may I always remember this. I am grateful for Your joy and peace. They fill my heart and cover me through this night. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Give me a healthy fear of Your majesty and awe of Your greatness so I might walk humbly through this life. You frustrate the plans of prideful people and swallow up the endeavors of evildoers. Keep me in a fearful reverence of You so that I can share in the beautiful inheritance of Jesus. I want to wait and pause in preparation for Your providential movement. I trust You, and I love You.
