Episode 112: Interview with Allen Danziger (Jerry) from Tobe Hooper's "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" (1974)

What an absolute honor and pleasure it was to speak to Mr. Allen Danziger from the ORIGINAL Texas Chainsaw Massacre from 1974! I am still super stoked/excited that this was made possible. Needless to say, I am probably going to remain in a fanboy moment for a few weeks. After talking to Allen, we spoke about his role as Jerry and how most of the acting in the movie (his part) was improvisation. And he also spilled some behind the scenes secrets about his kill scene, and after 50 years he still has a headache from being hit in the head with a sledge hammer by Leatherface. Moreover, he agrees that 'Franklin' is the most annoying character in any horror movie. But wait, there's more! It has also been confirmed that Franklin is eating a certain "male appendage" that was acquired from the gas station. Allen is such a wonderful person and I really enjoyed this interview and I am glad it happened. I am definitely going to remember this interview for a very, very long time.
