In 1999, Mr. Goolsby was licensed and ordained into a non-denominational ecumenical body, New Church of Faith, Inc in Orlando, Florida. He retains his ministerial license. Professionally, he is a retired Registered Nurse with over 32 years of clinical experience andadministrative leadership in the acute care environment. His last duty assignment was an Assistant Chief Nurse with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Tallahassee, Florida. Mr. Goolsby retired May 31, 2023 to focus on his health after having unresolved voice hoarseness. In March 2024, he was diagnosed with stage 3 laryngeal cancer. Mr. Goolsby had a total Laryngectomy done on April 17, 2024at UF Health System, University of Florida, Gainesville. He has undergone multiple medical/surgical treatments and/or interventions to maximize his drastic life modifications.
