Episode 113: "The Secret"

Have you ever seen or read The Secret? It is about the law of attraction. What you put into the universe, you will receive back. After being told that I should watch a movie that is a little older, I started looking for it. For various reasons, I didn't stream it and never ordered it online. It is old enough that it isn't really available at a typical brick and mortar store anymore. So today while driving by a thrift store, I thought to myself, "hmm... I wonder if they might have it." The chances were slim. It's not like thrift stores put out an order for 15-year-old movies. They get what shows up by chance. And even if it was there, it's not like it would be easy to find. Have you ever been to a thrift store? They don't exactly have a filing system in place. You really have to look for things. But guess what? It was there and it practically jumped out at me. So, for $2.99 I bought Cinderella Man. What made me stop there today, I don't know. Why was exactly what I was looking for there, and why did I find it? Was it meant to be? Was it the Law of Attraction? Or, was it simply coincidence? I don't know the answer to those questions either. What I do know is that this isn't the first time I've thought of something and it happened. Maybe it was just dumb luck, but I prefer to think it was... The Secret.
