We're wrapping up 2021, and to top off our Thanksgiving vacation, we're giving you guys the review for the 2nd Ridley Scott film released in 2021, House of Gucci! Based on the 2001 book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden, the film follows Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga) and Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver), as their romance transforms into a fight for control of the Italian fashion brand Gucci. Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Salma Hayek, and Al Pacino also star. Dom is joined by his old friend Adam Sommer to break down exactly what this movie was, whether or not it worked, and what, if anything it adds to the biopic genre and the continuing transition of movies towards just plain old content.
