It's the first edition of the 2024 version of Monday Morning QB with Hall of Fame coach Jimmy Smith and Parrott Academy head coach Matt Beaman to kick off our second hour. Coach Smith joins us live from the golf course to talk about the passing of fellow Kinston-Lenoir County Sports Hall of Famer Bobby Davis; the promotions of Paul Novicki and Madison Leigh Harvey to South Lenoir athletics director and assistant AD, respectively; and Parrott's big win against Rocky Mount Faith Christian. He also shares a personal health update. Coach Beaman recaps Parrott's big win, brags on senior tailback Jaylen Solomon's historic performance and tells us what his Patriots are going to be working on in their bye week. Jon, Jonathan and Bryan play a traditional Birthday Game, with nods to Jonathan's awesome grandmother, Helen Roberson, along with Shana Norris and Emmitt "Possum" Cahoon.
