Episode 115 - Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra, Aotearoa

Kia Ora Whanau.This week...this week... gosh, it’s been a lot. It’s been a lot for many reasons, but concerning the casting of the pod, it’s mainly been about the Aotearoa/New Zealand iteration of Big Dog’s Backyard Ultramarathon, or Satan’s Zoom call ( if you will). Matt, Rebecca, and Rigby went on an overnight adventure to capture the start of Big’s and get some conversations with the participants. It was magic. The next day, they came back armed with a picnic, minus Rigby and plus Eugene and continued to document the amazing spectacle, including running a loop ourselves, being challenged on our work ethic, and a massive heckling self-own. We’ve also got allll the race results from another bumper weekend of getting after it - including our Big’s, and a wee announcement by Mr Malcolm Law about something very cool that is coming down the pike, and a Greatest Run Ever to rival them all.
