Episode 116 - The Place Beyond the Pines *Listener's Choice*

Schenectady just ain't the kind of town you want to stop in.  Ryan Gosling is Luke, a motorcyclist who works in the cage of death at an amusement park.  His life is aimless, but after learning that his old flame gave birth to his child, he decides he needs to provide for them.  He gets mixed up in some trouble, with tragic consequences.  The Place Beyond the Pines is a film rooted in the repercussions of our actions and how they affect future generations.  Caity recommended this film, which Andrew loved, but Phil did not.  The acting is solid throughout, but all three of our critics agree the film was poorly marketed.
