This includes examining the controversial "Deal with the Devil" made by the Canadian legal system, where Karla Homolka was portrayed as a battered wife coerced into participating in the crimes by her abusive husband. However, we now know that this portrayal was far from the truth. Currently, Paul Bernardo remains incarcerated, serving a life sentence for his horrific crimes. On the other hand, Karla Homolka has served her 12-year sentence and is now living under a new identity. She resides in Quebec with her family, attempting to lead a private life away from the public eye.
