Episode 12: How God Rescued Me in His Love with Ken Sharrar

from Breakthrough of Grace · host Breakthrough of Grace Podcast

During this talk, speaker Ken Sharrar speaks to how God heals brokenness and sin from our past, to strengthen and unite us to Him, to live faithfully and fruitfully for the Gospel. We hope this talk blesses you as much as it did us.Reflection Questions1. Reflect on of the following teaching from Ken's Talk: "If your self esteem is a function of your performance or of someone else's opinion, then your self esteem is up for grabs every day. The Word of God teaches that our foundation is our identity in Christ, as a gift to be by choice in Christ." What stays with you as you reflect on this: stay with that and invite God in to that place.2. Reflect on the following from the Book of Numbers (the priestly prayer of Moses): Then the LORD said to Moses, 23“Tell Aaron and his sons: This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: 24‘May the LORD bless you and keep you; 25 may the LORD cause His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; 26 may the LORD lift up His countenance toward you and give you peace.’ 27 So they shall put My name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.” - Numbers 6: 23-27 Invite Jesus as High Priest to pray this over you - to renew you in Him, and His identity for you.3. Reflect  on the following: 2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. - 1Pet 5:2-4 In your temporal authority and in your relationships where you have authority, how is God inviting you to shepherd well in his name, and to be an example of Faithfulness, Hope and Charity to those around you?For Additional ReadingKen encourages the listeners re-listen to some of his favorite episodes of the Breakthrough of Grace Podcast: -Season 1 Ep 1 - Welcome from the Founders-Season 1  Ep 2- Contemplative Prayer with Lia McGuiness-Season 1  Ep 8 - Brokenness and God's Redemption by Kimberly King.  We invite you to go back and (re)listen to one of those episodes that the Holy Spirit might reveal something to you.Production by ForteCatholic.com

The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
