Amy will share how she coped.Dr. Delong shares how a simple drive to her parents house on a Tuesday afternoon in July 2023 would turn into a loss of a loved one.On a country road that she's driven many times over, wind in her hair, and with the top down on her Jeep Wrangler she was struck from the passenger side sending her vehicle rolling several times before coming to a rest upside down.Amy would survive, but she would lose Hazel to injuries suffered from being thrown from the vehicle. Upon unbuckling from her Jeep, Amy would scramble to the side of Hazel and try to comfort her the only way she knew how to, she cuddled her dying dog.In the months that would follow, Dr. Delong would rely on her family and friends, exercise, and time to help cope with the loss of her best friend.This episode will make you laugh, cry, and think.
