Episode 120: Cash by Jessica Peterson

from Chick Lit Book Club Podcast · host Chick Lit Book Club Podcast

We stayed in Texas for another episode! This week, we read CASH by Jessica Peterson. When Mollie inherits her estranged father’s cattle ranch, she plans to immediately sell it and invest the money into her own business. The only problem is that she has to live on the ranch for a year before she actually owns it, which doesn’t really fit into her life in Dallas. Oh, and that hot ranch foreman who her father verbally promised the ranch to…he’s a problem, too. Over 100 people are now counted among the dead following a horrific flash flood in central Texas. If you’d like to help those affected, you can find resources here.Veronica’s friend Kristen, who she discusses at the end of the episode, has terminal lung cancer. She has been unable to work since her diagnosis, so she’s been living off of savings and GoFundMe donations. She is one of the kindest, most generous people on this planet. If you’re able, please support her in some way, even if that’s just engagement on social media.Kristen’s Korner on TikTok (please follow and engage so she can earn $ from the Creator Fund – she’s doing a huge raffle soon to raise money, so please follow here if you’d like to buy tickets to win awesome bookish prizes)Kristen’s InstagramGoFundMeAmazon WishlistUp Next: Love at First Book by Jenn McKinlaySOS Novella: Spread by Nicole ParkerWhat else we’re reading:Finn Rhodes Forever by Stephanie ArcherBourbon and Lies - Victoria Wilder (audio)Written by a Woman - Andrea AndersenSHOW INFORMATION: Follow us on Spotify!
