Episode 120 with Maria Garcia , APK and about to get into DPT school

Maria is a rehab aide at UF Health with a strong passion for providing empathetic and inclusive care to her community. Currently on track to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of South Florida this August, Maria brings hands-on experience and a deep commitment to helping patients heal and thrive. Over the past year, she’s worked at the UF Health Medical Plaza, following a four-month APK (Applied Physiology and Kinesiology) internship that first introduced her to the field of oncology. Her daily work alongside an innovative team of physical therapists has given her a grounded understanding of the rehab process and the importance of compassionate, evidence-based care.
