Welcome back to the BE ENCOURAGED Podcast! You are listening to episode 121 part 2 with our lovely guest speaker, Jessica Momose! Keeping all the encouragement and practical advice, fresh in your mind!  In the last episode, Jess unpacked what functional medicine and faith-based functional medicine are and why it’s so important to build your healthy living off of a strong foundation in Christ. Some topics mentioned were prayer, planning (goals), and finding a community to help you onward in your health journey.  Now, in today's episode, Jess leads us to consider the importance of having a community, nutrition, hydration, relieving stress, sleep, detoxing, and trusting God with the rest! As well as unpacking the rest of the foundational stones mentioned in her e-book called, “Foundational Stones: A Faith-Based Guide to Healthy Living”. This episode is needed in the world today!  Jess says, “We do the best we can with the resources we have and we trust God for the rest”. I am so grateful that if nothing feels like it’s working, we can still pray and take a deep breath to walk in JOY that our God has a greater plan and will pursue us to complete it!  Remember, it’s a journey — a marathon, not a sprint!
