In dystopian novel, Without Repentance, we meet, Gillian, in front of a bank of computer screens remembering the nuclear blast that destroyed earth's global protective shield; Trout, raging at corrupt police and the cages for humans, and Evan, the evangelist. In Keys to Paradise, Mourad revisits the aftermath of losing his life’s savings to a scamming neighbour. He believes that because he abandoned Islam, God is punishing him so he goes back to the mosque. He meets Alex at work. In Do the Wrong Thing, Malcolm rewrites the scene from last week where Ava's new roommate comes into her room naked, and Ava rhapsodizes about binge eating. In Baby Shower, Mario rewrites parts of his sci-fi short where a man finds a polaroid in his backpack and must decipher its commands and follow them to save his own life.
