Loving those who hurt us isn’t natural—it’s supernatural, requiring a heart transformed by God’s grace. This love isn’t about condoning wrongdoing but reflecting Christ’s compassion and forgiveness, even toward those who oppose us. Blessing those who curse us, doing good to those who hate us, and praying for our persecutors reflects God’s character. It demonstrates a faith that transcends retaliation and chooses grace instead. Such love doesn’t just change relationships; it transforms hearts, including our own. Take time tonight to reflect on how you treat those who oppose or hurt you.
