Episode 125, Displacement

from Vancouver Writers Podcast Hosted by Vancouver Writers

Heather shares a beautiful love poem and continues with her dystopian novel, Without Repentance. We are introduced to AbAn, a man in prison who makes friends with the only thing he can see through a crack in his wall, a tree. In Keys to Paradise, Mourad's friend, Tony, drives him to Rome where they have all night conversation regarding the existence of god. Despite how settled he is, Mourad goes to Canada when he gets his acceptance and settles temporarily in Horseshoe Bay. In Do the Wrong Thing, Ava's roommate asks her if it's weird that his 32-year-old girlfriend sleeps with a teddy bear. Later, Posey gives Ava a bicycle. In current time, Ava yells at some men listening to a radio in the park and wonders if she's going to become known as "the old jogging bitch."
