Whether it is teaching in an officialcapacity, sharing what I have learned with my grandkids, or taking a community education oronline course, it’s just what I do.I teach people, not subjects, and I learn from teachers, not books or courses. I have found thatit’s as much about the teacher / student connection as it is about the material being taught andlearned. My education began when I was born. Some very early memories revolve around the built-inbookshelf in the hall of my childhood home. Even before I could read, I would choose a bookand sit by the floor furnace and pretend that I was reading. I would make up stories of what Ihad read and share them with my younger brother or my mom. One set of books that Iremember was a series of Dale Carnegie books. It’s no wonder that later in life I taught adultsthese principles as a Dale Carnegie instructor. In my first career, I taught high school students. They thought they were taking English classes, but it was so much more than literature, grammar, and writing. They learned who they were –some more than others, as we are all on our own path of learning. After I left the public school classroom, I began learning and teaching many more things. I gotcertified in Jack Canfield’s Facilitator Skills Intensive Training and Ed Foreman’s Successful LifeCourse. My Reiki career began with a Reiki teacher in Boise, and later I did my Master training withLaurelle Gaia and Michael Baird of Infinite Light Healing Studies Center in SSupport the showReady Set Reiki is a journey From the curious beginner to the Season Master Teacherwww.readysetreiki.comSend in your questions [email protected] you.
