We sat down with Sanders Offner, president of Crescent Payroll Solutions. Crescent is all about helping employers maintain and recruit their human working capital. Meaning they are a one stop shop when it comes to all things human resources related. From working as a door to door life insurance salesman, Sanders worked his way through the corporate ladder before making the decision that he wanted to go out on his own. Originating in a closet of his house, Sanders has grown his organization to roughly 30 employees. When discussing how he was able to accomplish this growth and make it on the Inc 5000 list and the LSU 100, he said by focusing on his people. Making your people the first priority you are doing what you can to position yourself for success. Sanders says it is through items such as frequent 1 on 1 check ins to giving employees a vacation allowance an a couple extra days once they have been working for the company for a set number of years.
