Episode 125 - Riley McGilloway

Riley McGilloway is a third-generation firefighter, carrying on a family legacy rooted in service, pride, and hard work. Raised in Acton, Ontario, he grew up around the fire service and developed a deep respect for the job early on—something that continues to drive how he operates today. In addition to his role on the truck, Riley is an instructor with Southwest Fire Academy, where he’s committed to helping develop the next generation of firefighters. He believes the job is earned daily—through training, discipline, and showing up ready to perform when it counts. Riley also serves as President of True North FOOLS, leading an organization focused on brotherhood, training, and creating real opportunities within the fire service. Through sold-out events, hands-on training, and a strong culture, his mission is to make those around him better and give back to the job. Known for his relentless mindset, Riley approaches his career with the belief that he’s never “arrived.” He continues to push himself through training, leadership, and mentorship as he works toward the next step.
