Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is in Pakistan on 3 days visit from April 22 to April 24, during which he will visit Lahore and Karachi and meet provincial leadership. Punjab government announced a local holiday on April 23 in Lahore district ahead of the visit of foreign dignitaries, including Iranian President Dr Ebrahim Raisi. Sindh government had announced a public holiday on April 23 in the Karachi division. Pakistan, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb stated that Pakistan is on track to secure a new loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), with the IMF showing receptiveness towards considering a larger, longer programme.
