It is fall like it's cloudy It's in the 60s. It's beautiful. I love it. Not the most of cloudiness.
I don't like so much cloudiness But fall is a pun us fall is Panna's in his here not really because gonna be in the 70s and 80s later on in a week But right now we're gonna a little preview of what the fall is gonna bring for us And I'm probably not in the problem with the fall coming on in because it's all means a lot of things It means pumpkin spice and I'll tell you right now when the sky went cloudy and the rain was coming in the wind and it was a little chilly I was like fuck I can go for a fucking pumpkin spice right now But it's not appear not appear not and I'm being attempt I'm like running a dump in or anything. I'm sorry about the pumpkin spice So I'm like plenty effort. I told me that like a genie out of the land I was gonna be like I wish I had pumpkin spice and I was gonna show and everything That's okay. I'm sure I'm a pumpkin spice soon enough But fall is my favorite season.
My wife's favorite season my daughter loves it And you know, I think my son loves it too I think he loves it too. He's four. He doesn't know what's going on right now. He doesn't know he loves and doesn't love but you know It's great.
It follows my favorite season. It really is I just like it and I think it's because there are so many things that happen in fall that I love Like for instance Halloween. I mean humongous Halloween fan. I love Halloween.
I love scary movies not Freddy Krueger I cannot get past Freddy Krueger and I know one day I'll share the reasoning behind that but it's not today And yeah, I mean I love scary movies. I love the whole Halloween the candy and the dressing up I don't really dress up But I mean it's like getting my kids dressed up and their favorite characters and you trick or treat and you go around and yeah I love Halloween. I really do. I really do some very excited Also means like I said pumpkin spice back pumpkin spice is back.
I love a nice pumpkin spice coffee a lot I love it. I'm excited. We drinking it. It's like it's like my drink of choice before the bears games I'm signing morning wake up Sunday morning.
I'm ready for the bears and then I have my pumpkin spice latte and I am ready to go I'm ready to go I'm excited. So it's like it's me going It gets me going pumpkin spice latte and yeah, yeah, I'm ready. I'm ready that Like I said football. Oh man.
Follow me in football a lot different this year, but you know, there's nothing. All right This stupid coronavirus pandemic that is effective as well. It's also effective football a lot of college football teams not playing I love college football and it's you know, I'm a big fan of the big 10 So having that plays a little rough and hopefully look it back in later in the fall. Maybe the spring But I am definitely a die hard national football league fanatic.
I love a ball I absolutely love the NFL and I am excited that I'm recording this podcast on Wednesday Which means then the next day will be the kickoff the NFL season like I said It's a lot different this year and every scene because the pandemic so there's a lot of stadiums are not allowing full capacity So I'm not reviving anything right now So they'll be pumped and proud noises and video boards everything else, but you know if NBA NHL and baseball is taught us we are gonna be okay It's gonna be okay It's gonna be okay Now the only thing I don't like about the fall is the fall is the time that brings me back to when I had very severe mental health depression OCD anxiety and Samia so I'll start it in August. I had August of tooth. I have a whole life, right? But in August of 2016 I started experiencing Huge anxiety I started experiencing depression.
Oh, everything was ramped up and it was because I was on wrong medication And it really ramped everything up so I got through August with that I got there's a time and then when I hit October it was that worst time of anxiety in the worst time of depression and I am happy to say I'm a lot better. I've done everything I could. I practice what I learned in therapy. I go to therapy in going to therapy for years And I practice what I learned in my CBT training.
I pray I journal I do all those things. I mean Maybe not really just like I'm a little bit Apparently this segment of the podcast was a little down so the board had to play the music But no, yeah, so it's good. No, I mean it's four years ago. So it's 2020 I was thinking really bad and the reason why it comes back in a little bit now is because that change in the season when it is a little cooler out And I just have flashbacks of how I was not sleeping I was throwing up every day.
I mean every day. There was not one piece of food that I can consume that went down I lost over 30 pounds because of it and I can't get all back. I'm really But yeah, so it was a really rough time and I'm a lot better now than I was and I'm happy I'm happy with that. I know the one thing that I like to tell people who have mental health Stuff is that you know mental health is never gonna go away You can't cure it, right?
We learn with it and you learn to be stronger over it and those are the things I think the one piece of advice I can give to folks who are suffering You got to come to that conclusion that is not terrible. However, however You can you can learn with it and you can you can overcome it. You could you could ask you kick its ass And whatever that is if it's train it's therapy if it's meditation if it's praying it's gonna church if it's you're going to classes It's going to group there. Whatever you do kick it ass.

Tell you put in let that baby go And then about four hours later things ready to eat ice cream this list. I told the brothers of the old as and funny you can get a twister your brother and they're like ah fuck And my dad had enough of us giving it up twisters.
It's all about that. Just not that little twisters cause cancer It's all this bad. I think for the brief few moments. We believe the fact that nipple twisters can cause cancer He also told us I don't know if this my mama was him but he said I believe it's him so that if you flash your light in the window They'll think it's robbery.
Please don't so we do that Could be I guess they saw the light slash it used to tell us all the time with the snakes and grandma's garden There's snakes and every time we go to my grandma's house there could be snakes there could be snakes because they live by the railroad So maybe he saw us naked and used to you know make us run because we don't want to see no snake in a garden Oh, man another thing my daddy's tell the story how There was a bee in a beer can they was drinking this stung up What I think later in life? I did happen to him, but I think I found out later in life that was in a religion He told us it's true. There's some to kill out of the other worm the bottom So yeah, you can even tell those stories and then you know of course poisonous mushrooms I think we all heard all heard this I don't get the mushrooms during your grass because there could be poisonous So don't drink um, don't eat I should say the poisonous mushrooms Which is still pretty pretty good advice today I mean I'm not saying that all of it is poisonous, but probably good advice not to eat the poisonous mushrooms or the mushrooms at all They might have grass But my dad nine lives Mr. Nine lives.
He man. He's been a hospital. I'm not gonna. What I've never been in the hospital at all No broken bones not gonna look again.
No sicknesses where I had to be placed in the hospital So I've done pretty good my dad. He's been in the hospital. He has had many things He had cancer surgery and that was probably I would say the very very scary scary time when he had surgery the first time he had Sir a surgery believe it was for cancer wasn't too bad. I was like I think was in and out The next time where they had the major surgery they had to remove his lower lip.
They had to place a couple things in So that was very scary that's when he had to be an execute which was very very scary time My dad he also had shoulder cup surgery which he wasn't home and as a kid, you know, he dies at home It's horrible. He had a stroke recently If he was in the hospital, he was in Florida when he had a stroke. So yeah, and then he had also Yeah, it is a pandemic. It's a pandemic.
It's something for me. So remember that day He couldn't coach my brother's baseball game. I know he was suffering from having like gas pains all day and then he just He just was gas pain decided to go to the hospital and that would have was exploded and he had all that poison crap We're on through his body. I do remember that hospital though, and I probably will see the story In more length when it's more time with his podcast, but he would refuse me to drink the fucking liquids So they do an x-ray and I'm like I had to talk to him.
Yeah, I got damn it like 14 and like drink a fucking liquid I got 16 Drink it my dad's fun though. I love my dad. He is fine We used to go to the bank as a kid in the bank. I had a hill every time we go up the hill and down the hill You pretend with a roller coaster and that's something that I take from my dad today.
I actually my kids as a man will do nascar I won't like go fucking 100 miles per hour on the block But it's still it's still one of those things that you know, it was fine as a kid my dad Night time swims my dad would work and then he'd come home We'd have dinner and let me go swimming like seven o'clock at a clock at a night as a kid. You're going swimming It's pretty cool at nighttime. I don't know. He's so much fun.
It's so much fun. I mean I can go on. There's times where We're he would be very Prinkle that's the word I'm making up right now. It was big on pranks growing up.
I went one time as a kid What we did was we my dad were out. We're at a store. We bought a fake snake my mom hated fake snakes She absolutely hated them and we brought this snake home and we brought it back door We sit in the back door and call my mom down and we said I can heart attack and my mother took a nice and cut off the little snake And little pieces all the way through My dad also one time you know for my horrible and a real realm brother was out late It was coming home I guess that and this is what I was with my wife who was my girlfriend's time So I see something Why don't we pretend that we were like all robbed? So we tied each other up and we were sitting in the kitchen.
I probably never came home. You never came home to this. I think God But we we we're there. We were robbed everything.
Yeah Break back fire that prank bear back fire. Well, we did a whole nation Hey, okay, okay, so we touched me. No, he knows about but I never came home So it was a fucking wait the time you came home. There was like three hours every day.
I think I might have always laid died to the chair I don't remember Um My dad I'm a dad. I'm a man so much fun and it's a lot. He he he used to drive me downtown when I used to work for a video station downtown overnight so he come picking up at six o'clock every morning loves to cook my dad deep frying deep frying and And uh, it's deep frying everything makes him home a fries are absolutely out of this world and then on top of that To have that he used to make the salsa that was fucking amazing. It was hot.
It was amazing. It was amazing Amazing amazing Remember my dad man. He used to be like scary people now that I also picked up on that too He used to have this Frankenstein mask and one time I came home I was from work. I went in the kitchen and he was walking in this mask with a knife or fake knife in the backyard and I fucking had heart I ran out the stairs.
I was trying to people call 911 so my dad scared me to the point But I thought our lives were in danger now. You know that's a good scare. Well, you think your lives are in danger Give me a fucking heart attack almost and if you're wondering how my father's not dead So this is not like a ULEG or something to the special show. I probably will use the show we does die in remembrance of him Right now Anyway, I want to get kudos to my neighborhood.
I'm not gonna mention my neighborhood I want to get kudos to my neighbors. All right, this pandemic has caused a lot of craziness in our lives and it's impact our kids so much You know our kids can't do anything You know quote-unquote normal because this thing is really wrecked Have it kind of everything. It's absolutely insane how how it's just caused everything from schools to summer Certifications to everything and you know we'll get through it. We'll definitely get through it There's no doubt in my mind that we won't we will we definitely get through this My neighborhood, you know, it's coming up with a strategy strategy plan for us not to cancel Halloween for kids And to be safe, but not to cancel Halloween so I want to say kudos to my neighbors I know I make my neighborhood a lot but I do love my neighborhood.

All right Some great people so yeah kudos to them for you know saying nope And now but you're not canceling Halloween now the governor might have no mistakes on it and this thing might be canceled after all But at least we're trying to strategize and come with a plan that we still have Halloween Be safe.
