Episode 128 – INHERENT VICE

Runtime 65 minutes Up for Discussion 1. Introduction 2. KNOW YOUR ENEMY– Q& A with this week’s guest, Courtney Small (2:23) 3. THE NEW SLANG – Review and reaction to INHERENT VICE (16:31) 4. THE OTHER SIDES – Courtney spins A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES, Ryan spins THE LONG GOODBYE (46:13) Thoughts from your host… Yesterday, I wrote about my many appearances in 2014 on The Dew Over. One of the things I love about Jamie Dew’s format is that way it allows me to hash out my thoughts on film with a certain familiar faces episode-in and episode-out. Take that in comparison to my show – where despite being a great friend and an awesome guest, I manage to let two whole years go by before getting Courtney back on the show. There’s all sorts of new ideas and new directions that come with every new year. I can’t help but wonder – might 2015 be the year where I finally start getting returning guests on with a higher degree of frequency? Who knows, maybe I’ll even follow Mr. Dew’s lead and start gathering a panel! Thanks for tuning into episode one-hundred-twenty-eight. Courtney’s Twitter feed can be found here.
