Episode #128: Max Lowe / Director / Photographer / National Geographic Explorer

from Visual Revolutionary

Director, photographer, and National Geographic Explorer Max Lowe joins the podcast to talk about working on his most recent project and full length film "Torn" that will tell the story of his family and will hopefully be coming out later this year if all goes well. During our conversation Max opens up about what it was like to tragically lose his Father (renowned climber Alex Lowe) at a young age and eventually be adopted by his climbing partner and legendary figure in the outdoor adventure space Conrad Anker.  We discuss how that shaped his life, and how the early exposure to professional adventure athletes, a love for the outdoors, and his mother's own passion for artistic creation helped steer him into the world of visual storytelling, and how working on this film project has helped him unpack and deal with so much from his own life.  From his earliest days of trying to create daily images in college while studying business, to the opportunity that receiving a National Geographic Young Adventurer grant afforded him, Max has always been drawn to telling stories through words, photos, and film and has since gone on to create beautiful pieces in the editorial space and for brands across the globe.   To Learn More About Max Lowe Visit: https://www.maxlowemedia.com And Follow Him On Instagram At: https://www.instagram.com/max.lowe/ To Learn More About Visual Revolutionary Visit: http://www.visualrevolutionary.com And Follow On Instagram At: https://www.instagram.com/visualrevolutionary/
