This week’s Say Yes to Holiness podcast 1:1 Conversation is with Marcie Stokman, Author and Founder of Well-Read Mom. Our conversation focused upon what prompted the publishing of her new book, The Well Read Mom; and how a passion for reading and desire for community spawned an international  movement that bears the same name--Well-Read Mom. Marcie and I dove deeply into books--particularly her own--The Well-Read Mom: Read More. Read Well.  We also touched upon motherhood, the transformative power of stories, how reading can provide the key to accessing the riches of our civilization, and also about how the Well-Read Mom movement came about. Founded in 2012, Well-Read Mom is a non-profit organization that accompanies women in the reading of great books and spiritual classics to encourage personal growth, friendship, and meaningful conversations in order to explore the human condition and reorient ourselves to what is good, true and beautiful. Now in its tenth year, Well-Read Mom has local groups in all 50 states and eight other countries around the world. As a huge lover of books, this conversation with Marcie was an absolute joy and contained many insightful observations, but most powerfully about how the efforts of each of us can impact our world in unexpected ways.
